Kids having mates over when WFH

Don't know if I'm being unreasonable or not but husband has just told me he's said his son (14) can have a mate over tomorrow afternoon. We're both WFH, and I actually have a job interview as well. Do you let your kids have mates over in the hols when you're WFH? I kinda think he should have checked with me. I can't help thinking that two 14 yo boys are gonna struggle to keep the noise down.

Why couldn't you "have a word'?

Won’t 2 14 year olds be relatively quiet? I’d have thought 2 lads that age will just play Xbox and grunt at each other so wouldn’t cause too much bother?

I actually did eventually but I usually leave him to discipline his own child.

They were definitely not quiet! Running from room to room, a bit over-excited. He is a bit of a young 14 to be fair.
