...to expect a GP to notice that I am pregnant at 25wks?

I was that when I went to my Drs yesterday feeling wheezy although not asthmatic and took dd with suspected conjunctivitis, that after examining dd the Dr asked me what was the matter. I explained that I felt I may have a chest infection but realise I could only take paracetamol. To which she said 'Oh, are you pg!'

Not sure whether to be worried she obviously had not read my latest history, flattered she didn't realise I was pg.
It didn't fill me we confidence

Why should she have read your history when you were there with your dd not yourself?

A little unreasonable. A lot of women don't show obviously until they are a lot further on. DS#1 had a bad fall and hit his head when I was pregnant with no 2. Took him to A&E and the triage nurse wanted to check me over too as I was shaking and breathless with shock - didn't realise I was pregnant until I told her. I was 32 weeks .

Depends, if the appointment was for you, not DD, then you are not being unreasonable, I would think your pregnancy would be flagged on the system, I know it is at our doctors.

If the appointment was for DD then YABU, there's no reason she should have known. Even if you are showing she may not have wanted to assume anything in case you had eaten a huge dinner!

Even if she had your notes I personally prefer the GP to talk to me first rather than burying her face in a computer screen or a sheaf of notes, and only consult the notes once she knows what's I've come in for.

Sorry I thought I had said that i went for both of us, me ?chest infection and dd ?conjunctivitis.

Are you able to book an appointment for two people? We have to book an appointment for one person, they only have 10 minutes per appointment. Although thinking about it I suppose I could book an appointment for myself and one for DS and ask them to be consecutive appointments.

flowery yes that is what I did. I rang and booked one for us both so they allocate more time
