Motor trade!! I knew it. As per my post above, I had this at the car company I worked at. Ever since I worked there I can't shake the whole car/male entitlement/loud noises/obnoxiousness thing. I don't even like buying the kids clothes with cars on them and it's hard to escape the fact that it's only on the boy's clothes!!

I can't wait till we're all driving electric cars.

Hahahahaha I'm loving this thread because I've realised I'm obviously mental because I love getting a good girl 😂😂😂 my mom and aunts say it and I'm thrilled with myself (obviously deep psychological issues there) and I can't actually recall anyone saying it to me in real life maybe the odd older woman (who in turn will remind me on my dm/aunts) I do get "good boy mama" regularly from my toddler.

Sweetmother you obviously haven't had it said to you in a sexist context.

It's very different if your mum says it, as opposed to a 50-something man who has rung up the showroom:

"hello, i'm ringing up to ask if you have any second hand Audis in stock at the moment?"
"yes we have a 2017 A3 2.0 convertible for £12,950"
"good girl!" Envy

And it's always said in this kind of wondering approving manner, as if you've just done a cute and clever trick.

It always makes me think of that misogynist prick Samuel Johnson: "Sir, a woman's preaching is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all." Angry

To a dog 🐶 is ok but to a person it is offensive.
