To ask about your range cooker

(including the specific brand/style,!)

Do you love it? Hate it? Why?

I am buying a house and need to get a new cooker asap! I would describe myself as a serious cook and I am flirting with the idea of splashing out on something very stylish and expensive (like a Bertazzoni), but I would be disappointed if the performance didn't match its looks.

I’d love a Rangemaster Elise 110 but my concern is the separate grill, it looks so shallow small, and can you even fit sausages or chicken breasts in the grill pan? With food that close to the element does it not burn / spatter fat? think I’d have to fork out for the model with two grills but the whole point for me was wanting to use oven and grill at the same time as I’d find that really useful.

Rangemaster Toledo in my last house. Never had a problem with it. Still going strong (my inlaws live there now). About 12 years old now.
Currently have the 110 Nexus. Love it. 3 years old. Never had an issue. Cooks evenly. Burners fine. Slow oven most often used for keeping things warm. Dual Fuel gas hob electric oven. Induction might be easier to clean but it can't boil water in a power cut.

@Datsandcogs

Rangemaster Toledo, dual fuel, 5 burners, hot plate, double oven with a separate grill. 13 and a half years old.

I HATE IT.
HATE IT
HATE IT

It’s crap and poor quality. Knobs have been replaced, doors leak, the warming drawer has been repaired multiple times. All the markings have worn off the front.

Oh dear!!

Ours is the 'professional deluxe' so a different model, but I will definitely keep any eye on it for any problems 🤞🤞🤞

Are you redesigning the kitchen? Could you fit in an aga?
I have a range master and it’s been very good but I’m tempted to go back to conventional ovens (at shoulder height) when we move.

Yet another one for a Rangemaster! I got a 110cm Nexus SE dual fuel cooker. I love it to pieces, cooking on it is a joy.
