To be annoyed at this teacher?

DD1 hasnt been that bothered about doing Nativity this year because she was in the chorus and wanted a bigger part in the play.

THEN, she came home and was so happy, she told me the other girl couldn't do it (because she had had a few days off ill) and was going to be an innkeeper, she got her outfit ready there and then and was so excited about it all.

Today, I went in to inform headmistress that I would be collecting DD1 at midday as we were catching the 1pm bus to go and see Take That, headmistress was fine etc understood I only got times through on Friday and that it is a christmas present.

DD1 has come home quite upset and I got it out of her that her teacher has told her that because she is going to the concert she is no longer allowed to be the innkeeper and has been put back in the chorus, the teacher has put the original girl back as inkeeper

Is it me, or is this teacher out of order for chopping and changing at the drop of a hat. I think that DD1 is going to be really upset tomorrow having to go to school

Do you think the teacher changed her mind because she needed to do a rehersal today and your dd won't be there so she has reverted back to her original choice.

TBH I would just let it go. If your dd starts to get upset about the whole thing then just remind her to focus on the things she has had (a fabulous time at the take that concert) instead of focusing on the one thing she hasn't had.

YABU, this close to the play if your dd can not be there for the rehearsal she should step down. Better that than to stand there not knowing what she is doing as she was away.

is it cos she is going to miss a rehersal or as a punishment for having time off.
if it is becouse of a missed rehersal then i think its fair enough but if its just as a punishment then i dont think yabu.

i am also going to see take that tonight. cant wait
