My DS attends a specialist provision for children with profound, severe and complex needs. Many of the children in the building are reliant on wheelchairs and some have very limited mobility, understanding or communication. Many are attended by nurses every day at school, as they are immunosuppressed. Every single child in the building, age 3-18, is disabled in some way.

Many children will have had the jab already, due to being extremely clinically vulnerable. Nearly every parent/guardian is a carer and would have been in one of the first six groups to receive the vaccine. Staff were vaccinated early too, due to the nature of the setting.

So why the actual fuck did anti vax protestors choose to stand outside their school and picket today?

I am actually heartbroken that they could be so cruel and thoughtless. Our school community has been hit very hard by covid, some of our children have been orphaned by it.

None of the children in the building are really capable of understanding the picket, it just frightened a lot of them.

It just felt like being spat on tbh. I asked them why they were targeting a school full of disabled children and they jeered at me. It's so depressing.

Film these people on your phone and forward the clip to your local newspaper.

Upload it to social media and being sure to show their faces to shame them in their local community. Idiots!

Yes your probably right my son had a male TA in his class for his last two years at his special primary school He was great with my son on our door step covid visits my non verbal son ran out to meet him and was giggling when he chased him, sadly there isnot enough fabulous TA, S like him

That is absolutely disgusting. Could you call 101 and speak to someone for advice? I don't know what they can do, but it might be good if they were at least made aware.

Here you can see the wheelchair adapted taxis pulling in to collect the kids. I wish it wasn't real. It broke my heart.

This is why I can't abide people who refuse the vaccine unless for health reasons, mentally I club them in with this bunch of brain dead, ignorant fuckers. Because clearly they believe in what these idiots are saying or worse, they are in support of them! I'm so sorry your son and the other children who were put through this. I'm enraged for you.

Well I'm sorry but that makes you an 'ignorant brain dead fucker'. There are plenty of reasons people have refused this vaccine and it doesn't mean they agree with a load of idiots protesting outside a school. The fact you have grouped them all together shows your ignorance.

My middle child attends an SEN setting. He’s petrified of COVID. This sort of bullshit would put him into a spiral.

I genuinely don’t understand the anti vaxx protests. Don’t want it; don’t have it. But then don’t complain if people don’t want to mix with you, or you can’t get into events. There’s rules for all sorts of things. I think we’ll just have to live with them for Covid too.

I should also add I’m particularly disgusted at the protest outside a school for children with additional needs. Really scummy behaviour.
