To be envious of my 3yo DTS social life?

I know I am but just wanted to vent.

In the last two weeks, they have been two birthday parties which means that I have to purchase two lots of presents and two lots of cards for each birthday. In the last 5 months, they have been to about 8 parties!!! Yes I could say no but as the other children from the nursery go and they know they are going, I have not got the heart to say no.

For the next two weekends, they will be going to Christmas parties.

Me, I have been invited to one christmas party which is work related but I will not be able to go now because of a meeting that I must attend. So, at this moment in time, I have no Christmas party to go to.

Before I became a mother, I use to go to 3 or 4 Christmas parties. Now, I'm lucky if I get invited to one.

I know I ABU but just wanted to moan.

I felt like that last year so have made plans to go out atleast twice a week over the next 3 weeks!

Phone a friend and go out

I'v tried arranging two lots of Christmas meals with friends but they are all busy.

I'll make a date with DH and we will have our special Cristmas meal.

Hope you have fun with DH instead My dh is not in my good books this week!
