I have a parking thread!

Come home from school run to someone parked on my private parking.

I've blocked them in as there's nowhere else for me to park and left a note to say I next plan to move my car tomorrow AM.

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

OP tell them it's not convenient come back in 1 hour (or more if you need more time with your 4 year old's bedtime routine).

debwong · 24/09/2021 19:24

Tell them it's not your drive and you've never seen it before.

MadeForThis · 24/09/2021 19:26

Make them wait at least an hour.

itsgettingwierd · 24/09/2021 19:30

@whoami123

We've had this happened. The lady that parked in our drive and blocked us in. I confronted her and she apologised saying the house she was visiting didn't have space and no where else to park... I was like yeah and??? That's really not my problem. I might have an emergency and you've prevented me from getting out
Some people seriously lack the ability to see beyond their own arm Angry
Kylereese · 24/09/2021 19:34

@Threearm don’t move it!! Come back and update us soon

Datsandcogs · 24/09/2021 19:35

The doorbell rang . . . . Then what?

Please update OP!

Datsandcogs · 24/09/2021 19:36

I've had similar - I was blocked in by a neighbour who had forgotten he had parked across my drive whilst he got his shopping in, then I managed to catch just as he was fucking off on a fucking bike ride.

He did the male equivalent of a tinkly laugh and said something about isn't parking so difficult round here and we're all in it together or something. I pointed out that I had bought a house with a drive so that, actually, it really wasn't my problem. Dick.

Lunificent · 24/09/2021 19:38

I forbid you to go to the door.

It's Friday night.

I'd be going for a take away and a bottle of wine!

If you are on a pc hover your curses near the bottom right of the last post you read and boolmark will appear , click on it and saved will appear .
When you go back to the thread it will take you straight there ( so I will go straight to you post now )
You can do this as offer as you want , each new book make will make the the previous one dusapear , just as it would i a book[/quote]
Thanks from me also for the clear explanation. I was wondering if anyone was ever going to post something that made sense. In future I will hover my curses.

SwanShaped · 24/09/2021 19:42

Haha!

impatientwatcher · 24/09/2021 19:42

I accidentally parked in someone's allocated parking space today. Won't do it again but genuinely didn't know, it's really badly marked.

SofiaMichelle · 24/09/2021 19:43

The CFers! They can FRO!

Well, to be fair, they can't, but you know what I mean Grin

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 24/09/2021 19:46

What’s happened, op?

trevthecat · 24/09/2021 19:46

Settling in!

DeepaBeesKit · 24/09/2021 19:47

FangsForTheMemory · 24/09/2021 19:48

Answer the door and say 'are you the escort?'

Lunificent · 24/09/2021 19:48

I predict the car has been released.

oh god I did not see that Blush , mind you hovering curses over the offending car may just be the thing that is needed

NewlySingle2021 · 24/09/2021 19:52

@mastertoseland I had similar with my neighbour. Their visitor just pulled in to my driveway and I got back with a car full of shopping and toddler plus baby to find them reversed snugly in there. The bloke had actually gone in to my neighbour and for some reason his wife was still sitting in the car furiously avoiding eye contact or the fact that my bumper was a millimetre from theirs. I had to get out and knock on her passenger window, she puts it down and cue tinkly laugh. 'Oh isn't it tricky for parking here haha. Do you need your space?' Erm yes. Fuck off. The neighbour they were visiting has room for at least 2 more cars on their massive drive!

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 24/09/2021 19:55

I don't drink but I would be tempted to answer the door holding a bottle of DPs beer and pretending I have drunk it. The CFs I wouldn't be moving my car until Monday.

kensington09 · 24/09/2021 20:15

Don’t keep us hanging OP…

SouthSideSally · 24/09/2021 20:15
