I have a parking thread!

Come home from school run to someone parked on my private parking.

I've blocked them in as there's nowhere else for me to park and left a note to say I next plan to move my car tomorrow AM.

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

What is going on??? 🤔😴

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 24/09/2021 23:01

What happened??

Fillybuster · 24/09/2021 23:05

[quote keziahmee]" I bought some chestnut puree & can't remember why. What could I use it for? Foodwise, I mean - keep it clean, ladies."

A delicious recipe for a sort of Eton mess with chestnut puree is here - can thoroughly recommend:

Epic! I'm a sucker for chestnut purée but have way more in the cupboard at the moment than I can possibly justify. And weirdly also have store bought meringue (v odd given that I make them all the time) and creme fraiche. Guess that's Sunday lunch sorted, maybe with a few Yorkshire pics. Could create a whole parking thread menu...

Any news??

tupperwaretowers · 24/09/2021 23:08

Mountainpika · 24/09/2021 23:10

THIS!
Voice0fReason · 24/09/2021 23:19

Did you speak to him when he rang the door?
I assume that's how you knew who he was and who he was visiting.

I definitely would have made him wait an uncomfortable amount of time.

Scautish · 24/09/2021 23:21

Fucks sake. Shite thread OP.

fourquenelles · 24/09/2021 23:27

@TopBlogger

It's a visitor to the house a couple down with no less than 6 vehicles. Cheeky fuckers

How do you know this?

This is where the shark was jumped
Dobbyismyabsolutefav · 24/09/2021 23:29

@REP22 best parking thread ever!

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 24/09/2021 23:30

God I hope the Op’s alright and it hasn’t escalated.

ZenNudist · 24/09/2021 23:43

@Whentheydontmeanwhattheysay the irony of that tik tok clip is that theoretically the owners of the house could get a ticket for parking on their own drop kerb (I learn this week that it's illegal) whilst theres nothing to be done to the dick van driver parked on their drive.

JacquelineCarlyle · 25/09/2021 00:03

I really hope you told them it's £100 release fee otherwise they can fuck right off!

TortolaParadise · 25/09/2021 00:27

I give up.

AlCalavicci · 25/09/2021 00:56

79Beastie · 25/09/2021 01:27

Well this thread was a load of bollocks. Wasted my night waiting for an update like a lot of us i bet and nothing. What could have been a good one is now ruined. Boring, please don't start a parking one and then not update, this makes us all mad.

GAHgamel · 25/09/2021 01:40

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/09/2021 05:02

Well I'm going to post just to see if the OP updates in the morning.
And no, I can't bookmark as I don't have that facility on my version.

trappistkepler · 25/09/2021 05:26

all talk, she capitulated .. don't start a parking thread unless you are here til the bloody end.

PinniGig · 25/09/2021 07:13

If it's a one-off / first offence I'd hold off the notes and generally going to war straight off it could have been just a genuine honest mistake.

I had a problem with neighbours that kept dragging and abandoning wheelie bins in front of and at the back of my car and it was obvious there's no way I'd get in and out without having to move them.

Left a friendly polite note “Can residents please make sure wheelie bins are lined up and out the way from cars? Don't mind them being left at the side cos it is a traipse taking them to and collecting from main collection points but can you just make sure they're out the way? Cheers!”

Joker neighbour decided to be an arse about it blatantly abandoning his at the back of my car first thing so I couldn't get out and then when I got home, he'd put them right in my parking space so I had to jump out and move them just to park.

I put every single wheelie bin from the whole road round his entire - literally surrounded his car like they were police wheelie bins blocking in a suspect. His wheelie bin was dragged all the way to the back of the wall and actual spot they're supposed to be and didn't get emptied for two weeks. He nearly, very nearly took me to task about it as well but thought better of it because I'd asked nicely and been decent but he had to be a twat.

I have a parking thread!

If you have a parking thread, you need to commit to it. Letting lots of people down is poor form. Badly done, Emma.

Oh course they did, if it even happened.
