Period pants - recommendations and practicalities

Hi there, not AIBU but posting for traffic.

I’m looking into period pants for my 15 year old and wondered firstly if anyone has any recommendations (she has a couple of days of pretty heavy flow so I wasn’t sure how effective they would be?) and secondly advice on the practicalities - presumably you wear one pair all day? They are supposed to be rinsed out before washing - do you have a bucket in the bathroom (like nappies!)

Any advice gratefully received- thanks.

I gave dd the modibodi bikini bottoms and she wore them in the sea, no problem. Probably wouldn't risk it in a pool. Don't bother with M & S period pants - all of ours started to fall apart after 3 or 4 washes.😡

Bonds are great. I use the full brief for night time and the bikini ones during the day. I don't usually have to change them during the day, but occasionally if it's a very heavy flow and a long day it might start to feel a bit gross. I've never leaked.

It says to rinse them before washing but I have never bothered. I just cold wash with my other clothes and I've not had any issues.
