Center parcs - how would you split the cost of a lodge?

Room A: Single parent with 3 kids
Room B: Single adult (may possibly have one of the three kids in with them)
Room C: Single adult

For a three bedroom lodge, would you just split the cost per room, so a third each per adult and completely disregard the kids? No bitter feelings about anything, we've just never done it before and seek advice from people who have! Smile

Do the adults without kids want to share with kids though?

Logistically, I’m not sure how it would work.

Adult A with baby in cot sharing bed with a child.

Adult B with potentially a child of their own

Adult C no children. Sleeping alone.

Where is the extra child sleeping?

If the parent has the largest room with the en suite.

Parent + two older kids in the bed, cot down side of bed for youngest.

Other two adults have a room each.

Then split costs equally 3 ways.

If parent can't put two in the bed with them and one in a cot in the same room then she needs to offer some financial incentive to the adult sharing with one of her kids.

Adult B has no children of their own (unless you count her big child... The grown up parent Grin)

I think the single parent with 3 children should pay at least 50% of the cost - they account for 66% of the people going and are using 50% of the rooms, so really anything less than 50% is CF territory. The single person with own room should pay 33%, so that leaves 17% for the single person who has to share with someone's child. Maybe rounded to 50/30/20 for ease. I would say food etc should be split 50/25/25, or each family just pays for their own.

Sorry I misread…..

So adult B is mother of adult A and grandmother of the children
