bruv has just rung and given me a hard time. wants to meet up before xmas at my dads. trouble is the only day he can do is the sunday.the day after the local meet up. now I am the only driver (dh has epilepsy) so that means I would have to not drink at the meet up. ffs the only time I ver go out is to meet ups. He can't do a saturday as it doesn't means sil won't be able to come as she works(same one who went shopping when he visited us last time) we can't visit him as sm is disabled and so is dd and he lives miles away in a in disabled freindly house.

Families - don't you just hate them
I feel your frustration
Personally if he was my bruv, I would tell him to f* off and make my own arrangements to see dad, sounds like you have enough on your plate without having to cater to him and your sil!
(And yes I have done that to both my brothers!)

Howdydoody · 02/12/2007 10:15

If you meet up on the sunday evening then you will be able to drink on the Saturday surely? am sure you wont get that blathered will you ?

edam · 02/12/2007 10:29

I agree he is being a twonk, but a practical solution might be to get a taxi.

Dropdeadfred · 02/12/2007 10:31

why not the saturday..Is it cos SIL is working?

Blu · 02/12/2007 10:33

Train?
And meet later in the day.

jinglebells2shoessmells · 02/12/2007 11:17

lol at a train.
we will see dad at or around christmas. bruv is a very akward person at the best of times. and will not acept that having a disabled child does limit your options. he makes all the right noises but when it comes down to it........
my dad lives an hour away so a taxi is out of the question.

sorry about that pc slow.
oh and to prove he is not of this planet. he suggested that my 80 year old dad. picked me up and brought be home. this would be 4 hours of driving........

Dropdeadfred · 02/12/2007 14:51

why does he want to see you? why doesn't he collect your dad and bring him over to yours and see you there?

jinglebells2shoessmells · 02/12/2007 15:09

he can't do that as sm is disabled and can't get in and out of the car.

Zazette · 02/12/2007 15:14

sorry, but if you're really planning to get so drunk that you won't be able to drive the next day, then that is intrinsically unreasonable. your bro is being unreasonable too, but that doesn't justify you!

Blu · 02/12/2007 17:11

duh!
Didn't recognise you with your christmas name, 2 shoes.

Sorry!

jinglebells2shoessmells · 02/12/2007 17:15

nevermind It will get sorted.
oh and by the way the limit is 2 drinks. yeas i should think I will have more than 2. I can't risk being over the limit the next day. so will not risk it.

OP posts:
PestohohohoMonster · 02/12/2007 17:30

Oh 2shoes! You really must have more than 2, it's Christmas fgs and you need to let your hair down for once. Especially since you weren't drinking last time. Grrr Grrr! Tell hime it's not convenient for you. He will have to sort out another date. Please don't budge on this.

jinglebells2shoessmells · 02/12/2007 22:12
