To think the shoe fitter in clarks should not.........

I've bought Clarks all along, but have just conceded defeat and admitted to myself that StartRite fit dd better, and we go to an independent shoe shop. The StartRite are more expensive but really are a better shoe imo.

Go to an independent shop if you have one. I went to one in Spalding and ended up with Ecco shoes for DS (the only ones that stay on because they have laces).

Our local clarkes is very good. But obviously expensive. I asked the lass (only about 17 bless her) how to fit them. Its not rocket science...

not so long they will trip over them
not so short it will stub toes/restrict grown
not too tight to restrict growth
not to wide so they could rub

Get clarkes shoes from ebay and occasionally get her measured to see roughly what size she is and fit myself.

Anyone else got advice on how to fit (in case I missed something/got something wrong?)
