To love thunderstorms

Aside from that they can be dangerous I love thunderstorms. One is starting now and I'm very excited Grin
Obviously I do get they are not nice to be out in and people have been struck by lightening and died so I don't want to be insensitive at all but I think they're awesome events of nature.
My cat isn't a fan though.

I usually love them too. Not tonight though as I’m currently camping in a field hoping it doesn’t wake my two boys up! Although the sound of the rain is drowning out most of the noise.

We have one overhead. The last flash took out the power. 4G has just come back on, so no need to panic yet.

especially when there's forked lightning rather than just flashes

They scare me a little but I love watching them. I live next door to a church with a huge spire on it with a lightning rod so I hope that if there was going to be a strike, it would hit that 😅

In a tent here shitting it.....

I love them as long as I’m inside! When I was really little my granny used to make us open all the windows so the storm ‘could pass through.’

My dad tried to convince me that if the tent was struck, it would go down the poles into the ground. I have no idea if this is true. I couldn't get beyond only having 2 bits of fabric between me and the storm.
