How many user names have you had?

I just looked at my user name history and it’s long. Very long! Let’s just say I am a bit paranoid about being identified.
How many have you had?

I’ve just counted , I’ve had about 12 names.

Over 100. My life is so shit genuinely that I would be forever being accused of a troll if everything was on the same username. So change username for each new issue

Hundreds. I NC weekly. I don't want to be linked to old posts or risk outing myself. I really like the NC function although I do think it allows people to be arseholes as they know they can just say what they like then effectively change their identity.

It all depends on what you're posting. If you are bitching and moaning about family or oversharing personal medical stuff then absolutely namechanging is the way to go, it's a no brainer.

But if you are just chatting about what you are having for dinner/watching on the telly or your favourite music then no need to worry about being outed.

I would love to keep the same as I see people appear to befriend each other based on their name but I post quite a lot of personal scenarios that if someone were to link all of my posts together would not take them long to figure me out! Hence why I change names often

I changed after the first few years of being here and I occasionally change it to post specific things but I mostly stick with this one. I wouldn't like to be identified so I change details more than username.

Three. I'll probably change it again once DD has buggered off to uni and doesn't keep trying to see my user name over my shoulder (I'm pretty sure she knows it, but then she knows my unfashionable opinions anyway).

I'm very attached to my current one. Suits me perfectly.

I like keeping the same name so I can chat to friends on here , particularly if I want to tag them into a thread I think they will like

My past three names are all linked so it would not take a geniuses to figure out that its me in a very thin disguise
