To bail on a friends holiday

I’m currently TTC but have already agreed to go on a long weekend away with friends where there will be lots of drinking and a hot tub.

It’s a little while away still so there’s either a chance that I’ll be a few weeks pregnant or if we’re not successful, it may fall when I’m due to next ovulate.

If I’m only a few weeks pregnant, I don’t know how to avoid making it obvious? If it was just a one evening thing, it would be easier but hard to hide when I’m there for multiple days in a row. I’d have to avoid alcohol and a hot tub.

Or if we’re not successful, is it really sad to bail so that I can stay home and DTD?

@2bazookas

Just say "I'm avoiding alcohol because I'm on a course of antibiotics".
Which is basically code for “I’m pregnant “ and everyone will know

@BunnytheFriendlyDragon

Cheers, but I'd rather take official NHS advice over some random on mumsnet

NHS says to avoid

But you are overthinking OP

That's what I was saying, the NHS guidance is to avoid, same advice as I got from my ivf clinic. I'd rather take the official advice over some supposed know it all on here.

I guessed a friend was pregnant because she "forgot" her swimsuit. Grin Didn't say anything, of course!

Ain’t that the truth @Hoppinggreen. It was annoying when I was actually on flucloxacillin and all my friends gave me excited looks. 🙄

I’m really gobsmacked that people genuinely turned down social events and even holidays in case they needed to have a shag??
