How often do you clean your doorstep?

NDN being weird AF...always bothers me, with young DC, how friends and family bring dirt into the house, especially with COVID. So I always clean my step everyday as well as mopping downstairs floors. Neighbour thinks I'm being obsessed who's right?

I don't think I've troubled so much as one brain cell thinking about my front doorstep.

In all my (long) married years -I have never cleaned my doorstep - I think my dh might have wacked the doormat & swept it sometimes in the last century or so - although I could swear to it

Power wash it once a year along with the path. Did it more for amusement first time but was gobsmacked to see it come up cream coloured after thinking it was cement grey! (Old 1950s workers cottage)

I sweep it (sometimes hoover) once a week. It's really dusty and does need it.

Also goes green so once or twice a year I bleach the steps and porch.

I'm from Yorkshire where we always keep a good step.
I wash my front (open) porch and the step with bleach and hot water once a month and wipe the door and frame inside and out.

It's a thing

When I do clean mine, my gossipy neighbour talks about it for weeks.

Once a month for me, at the same time as I do the downstairs window frames (white UPVC so look mucky quickly). I spent the first few years of my life in a terraced house in Liverpool which had five steps up to the front door and these would be scrubbed weekly.

Window cleaner does it so 4 times a year.

I’m from Yorkshire. I’ve never cleaned my step!
