Are you the kind of person to name a plant/car/robot hoover?

I've bought a lovely big plant for my teen's newly decorated bedroom. I've named him Denzel and my children think I've finally gone coco pops
I wouldn't say I love Denzel exactly ok, I do a bit but I'm certainly invested in him and very much hope he'll thrive! I greet him every morning
I'm curious to know if other people are a bit like me, or if a plant's just a plant ...

Yes, we name our cars - current one is Cagney (based off the numberplate obviously!).
DH & I literally sat looking at the plate & discussed what it should be called, like we had with DC.
Our DC know the names of our cars too & both lament the recent losses of Dotty the Peugeot 207 & Byron the Nissan Micra.
We all disliked the recent curtesy car, Fabio the Fabia.

All my plants are called Robert.

Our Roomba is called Robert. As in Robert the Robot from Justin whatshisface from CBeebies. He definitely has a personality. I have to leave the light on for him when he vacuums. Seems wrong to leave him in the dark.

Apart from my first Satnav which was ‘Satnav Sally’, no we don’t.

We still speak of ‘Satnav Sally Specials’ when we find ourselves on a one track farm lane parallel to a main road that we would rather be taking. But our newest Satnav doesn’t do that.

I have never named my cars and I don’t tend to have plants, my robovac is called Gary.

Black Betty (bam-a-lam) is our eufy. I see we aren't the only ones to name the robot hoover!

Nothing else in our household has been christened (if I even refer to a car as "she" I get accused of all sorts of sexism/genderism etc)

My robot Hoover is named Hamilton, He gets the job done!

All my computers are named as they are networked. So are the security cameras.

Yes. My kids named the car and it suits her
The hoover is Hetty because she is the pink Henry one.

Oh and my computer is Lazarus nn Lazzy because she has been brought back from the dead so often!

My car has a name. I am absolutely not mad. Honest.

I have one of those scrubbing things that's like a giant electric toothbrush with a long handle. She's called Rosie and I love her. She does an amazing job on my manky floors.

Yes. Our car has a name based on its number plate. My mum has a bush in her front garden named George.

My Eufy is called Roy.

My friend has called her Eufy Stella

Our cars definitely have names but plants don't live long enough in my house to be named.

Oh I've just remembered, DH has named the two Google speakers as they're networked - they're George & Zippy.
& the two landline handsets, so we can return them to the correct cradle - they're Bert & Ernie.

I’m a namer too. Not consistently applied but we as a family name various things, car, our laptop (we had a previous Lenovo called Lenny that I hated with a passion and the rest of the family would encourage me not to be so rude about him ) the trampoline. We like to name random insects the kids find also.

My fridge freezer is called Geoffrey. DH named him.

Oh I approve of this. Geoffrey is an excellent name for a fridge freezer.

Named my car years ago - lasted about 3 days before it was the car again. I think I felt obliged as everyone else seemed to.
