To think Zara is unreasonable

Heading on holiday and managed to quickly pop into Zara to buy shorts! I was in a rush on my lunch break and brought 5 pairs in medium size. Queue for changing rooms was crazy!

Got home, no too tight so take them back the following day and exchange for a large, closing rooms closed for cleaning.

At home and 3 of them are still far to tight (can’t breath). I’m I really therefore an XL!!

I am 5.8 and weigh 10 and a half stone!

My other frustration is the lack of consistency in sizing!

So I’m I being unreasonable to expect consistency in sizing and also not to be an XL at 10 and half stone at 5.8!

Sorry if this is said already - not had chance to read full thread

Apparently there is a symbol on label, triangle, square, circle? One means it runs small, one is true to size and one means oversized. I've never checked this myself but there's quite a few videos on it if you google it.

Bad when the sizing is so inconsistent that they have to do that

CamborneMaid · 02/08/2021 12:47

@Ostagazuzulum they don't do it though.

Zara recently said the real meaning behind the shapes – and it turns out it has nothing to do with sizing: ‘These symbols reference specific sections within the store to support colleagues in knowing where to place items. Regarding the collections – circle: woman, square: basic and triangle.

That makes more sense than admitting their sizing is rubbish!

Totally agree with pp who said women's clothes should be sized like men's. Get rid of 10, 12, 14 and the even less useful S,M,L and size by inches/cm - hips, waist and chest - you can't go wrong then as long as you know your measurements.

Have you seen the photos of the models Zara use? Their clothes are for anorexic giraffes.

Take a tape measure

Changed my life 😂
