wondering why the mattress protector i bought for new mahoosive super king size bed is ridiculously large - far too big for mattress

realised that the packaging for the mattress protector says "fits mattresses up to 10" deep"

HOW big??!

well it might fit those, but it sure as hell doesn't fit a normal depth mattress

dya reckon jl will refund...?

YANBU - that is huge. My mattress is defo not 10" deep. That would be a mattress for the princess and the pea story

Um, that would be our mattress then. We're a bit obsessive about such things (but not enough to be taken in by all the crap that's spouted on the adverts about needing an expensive bed so you don't get insomnia ). We just like a very comfy plush mattress!
Wasn't quite so nice when I was heavily pregnant mind, and I was struggling to get on and off the enormous tall bed and panicking that my waters would break on it!

would love to know how much you have to fork out for a 10" deep mattress mrstee

when we had a super king I reckon the mattress was nearing 10 inches - kind of needed to be that deep to make it proportional and not too thin. Wasn't massively expensive either. If you haven't slept on it, take it back and see if you can exchange it - some shops are quite reasonable like that.

Tutter · 27/11/2007 19:45

doubt that we could, weegle - it was wrapped in plastic when delivered

Bought it abroad, and it was over 700 dollars (the whole bed, not just the mattress). It was a major indulgence, but I was pregnant at the time and persuaded DH that I needed my comfort. Not that he minded the wonderful plushness of it, or the fact that it is king-size and so he gets to stretch out.
