to be pissed when people ignore me when I have been polite and asked a question

I run a yahoo group. a new person has joined. so I sent a nice message in repy to theirs. and asked about their child(sn group)
other people posted hellos. yes they all get answers and I am ignored. is it me or is that bloody rude?

did someone say something?

ok I was being serious.
but would rather laugh. at the end of the day unless he comes on here and reads this thread he will never know. and tbh who gives a shit

They might have thought they'd replied and not or (and this is my favourite trick ), they got the mail when they were too busy to reply and then forgot to reply later on.

YAB(a little)U, it could have been a genuine oversight.

Maybe [and don't fall over] REAL life got in the way???

If it was a private message rather than a forum posting they may not have known how to receive it. I've done that (long ago...)

i often get ignored on message boards... and walkin around shops and in the street...and on the phone...to my mum... maybe its me...

2shoes - Happens to me all the time in RL. Used to get told that my questions/comments get ignored because I have a quiet voice but happens to me frequently on MN too - may be I type quietly!!

2shoes - really try not to take it to heart. It's not worth worrying about. Put your time and effort in to those you know will respond.
