This statement has now been deleted

"What statement? There wasn't a statement, maybe there was, I don't know, people tell me there was but I never saw it, there was nothing there, but maybe there was. I never wrote the statement, maybe I did once or twice, I don't know, I never did, maybe I did, but I didn't."

@DuncinToffee

Haha, Giuliani has been banned from Fox News, guess they don't fancy risking falling foul of a billion dollar lawsuit
Fox news is already named in two lawsuits regarding defamation.

'The House has passed the Women's Health Protection Act, a bill aimed at preserving access to an abortion nationwide.

The vote was 218-211. One Democrat joined all Republicans in opposing the measure. Zero Republican support.'

The Arizona fraudit INCREASING Biden's margin over Trump is the funniest thing I've read all week.
Even his stooges can't come up with the result he wants

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 25/09/2021 16:03

This headline seems fairly classic summing-up of the current GOP:

"GOP rep. accuses Biden of '18-month' spending spree even though the president's only been in office for 7 months"

Hydra.

'Reuters examined all 15 Republican candidates for secretary of state in five battlegrounds. Ten still question whether Trump lost the 2020 election.
Democrats intensify fundraising as pro-Trump candidates aim to capture control of elections oversight in key states.'

Gargling iodine? Good grief.

I read that in some States people in elaborate disguises are getting vaccinated to throw anti vaxxers off the scent and pretend they haven't been jabbed.
The lengths some people go to...

So now, Doofus claims the AZ recount was 'fake' and that he actually won AZ after all. It's the media's fault!!!

We are seeing exactly what happens when someone who has always gotten what they wanted, by evil crook or wicked hook, finally doesn't. And it ain't pretty.

lionheart · 27/09/2021 20:18

Everything about him and his Presidency has been fugly.

This should be interesting.

'It was an opinion that was designed to raise eyebrows — and it worked. The Washington Post published an op-ed late last week from Robert Kagan, a conservative at the Brookings Institution, with a headline that read, "Our constitutional crisis is already here."

Kagan's first sentence read, "The United States is heading into its greatest political and constitutional crisis since the Civil War, with a reasonable chance over the next three to four years of incidents of mass violence, a breakdown of federal authority, and the division of the country into warring red and blue enclaves."

For those who take such warnings seriously, it's discouraging to know there's no shortage of experts ringing similar alarms.'

Poor guy.

“My oath is to support the constitution of the United States of America. Against all enemies, foreign and domestic,”

There is a thing which slightly startled me.

The Capitol rioter Derek Jancart was ordered on Wednesday to serve 45 days in jail for his part in that insurrection. He was ordered to report to jail on 29th November.

I had not realised that jail sentences in the USA are not immediate. Is this always the case?

lionheart · 30/09/2021 13:36

Didn't one of them need to go on holiday before reporting for jail?

John Pavlovitz. Sad

www.chicagotribune.com/columns/heidi-stevens/sc-fam-0928-heidi-stevens-pastor-20210924-fbfby2q6pnhzthlzivuh3kcu6e-story.html

'John Pavlovitz jokes that he has a brain tumor and a book coming out the same week.

The North Carolina-based pastor, whose writings are a balm to the faithful and faith-curious who prefer their Christianity without a heaping side of intolerance, will undergo surgery Oct. 1 to remove a pituitary tumor at the base of his brain.

Three days prior, his new book, “If God Is Love, Don’t Be a Jerk: Finding a Faith That Makes Us Better Humans,” hits shelves.'

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 30/09/2021 15:42

John Pavlovitz is a man whom the world needs. I wish him a speedy recovery and many, many more years in health and clarity.
