I've had to speak to a new man a couple of times now.
His voice has me mesmerized even though I have no idea what he looks like.
This isn't the first time a male voice has had this effect.
I work with all men so I am not seeking to hear a mans voice.
Is it just me or has anyone else felt weak at the knees for the sound of someone's voice.

Gideon Emery. His voice makes me melt in very messy ways.

Another one for the lovely Alan and also Daddy pig

Go to You Tube

ScienceSensibility · 24/07/2021 17:18

The recommendation for ice still valid 😀

LittleBearPad · 24/07/2021 21:04

The lovely Alan Rickman

“Give me an occupation Miss Dashwood, or I shall run mad”

Fans self

Treesgoping · 24/07/2021 22:03

Oh dear, I must be the only woman that doesn't like Alan Rickman's voice. He sounds like a record of Kenneth Williams played at 33rpm.

Sean Bean for me. Particularly in Lady Chatterley's lover when he says to her, "Nay, I have to have thee now". Or some such. I wasn't listening with my ears...

NessieMcNessface · 24/07/2021 22:06

Harrison Ford’s voice ….I feel funny just thinking about it …..

Holothane · 24/07/2021 22:32

Good grief just play Texas start a family, I see what you mean ( Wonders what it would be be with my silver foxes saying that) those words are so sexy.

Maggiesgirl · 24/07/2021 22:37

No I worked in call centres for 20 years plus love speech radio. I recently told one of my customers neighbours I could listen to her husband read a phone book! I'm male and not gay😁

Kenneth Williams 😂

How am I 5 pages in and nobody has mentioned Mr Elba!

KurtWilde · 25/07/2021 00:15

Tom Hiddleston's voice also does it for me. And Michael Fassbender.

Costumeidea · 25/07/2021 00:17

Also not in a sexy way at all….but I love Paddington Bear’s voice! I could listen to it all day. It’s just so nice!

Classica · 25/07/2021 00:19

'not in a sexy way'

I love that you felt the need to add that Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/07/2021 00:48

@NewYearNewTwatName

certain Scottish accents. I think Edinburgh(ish) David Tennant Ewan McGregor
Sports reporter Andrew Cotter
FastFood · 25/07/2021 00:59

I love Boris Johnson and Vladimir Putin's voices.

Costumeidea · 25/07/2021 09:10

@Classical it feels like it would be a bit wrong if that was the case!

Gaijin1 · 25/07/2021 17:47

Mark Strong
Iain Glen
Andy Garcia

whatisforteamum · 25/07/2021 22:40

Oh good glad I am not the only one.🤣
I agree it can be the tone as well as the accent.

@quitecrunchy

Ooh yes. Richard Armitage's voice makes me weak at the knees. And of course the wonderful Alan Rickman.
I've had dreams about Richard Armitage's voice.
JudgeJ · 26/07/2021 15:33

@romany4

Alan Rickman was pure fire.

Completely agree with this!

Also Matthew Mcfadyen and Neil Oliver.
Both have very sexy voices

'Assume nothing, except the occasional air of intelligence', my favourite bit of Rickmanism, oft quoted to my pupils, You really fancy Alan Rickman Miss, and at your age too! Almost got him a slap!
TheCrowening · 27/07/2021 15:34

Anyone who’s played Dragon Age will be familiar with the dulcet tones of Fenris…

NeedNewKnees · 27/07/2021 15:36

So many men are attractive primarily because of their voices.

Well, people, really. Kathleen Turner’s voice was to die for

WasThisSexist · 27/07/2021 15:42

Oh yeah, this has happened to me before. Not in a work context for which I am glad!

knackeredcat · 27/07/2021 15:59

My OH sounds like Sean Bean Grin

Again like so many PPs I've had pictures in my head of what men I've spoken to over the phone have looked like. Voices I've enjoyed in various jobs have included -

A Richard Burton soundalike visiting lecturer who always asked me about my day
A more Zen Christopher Lee soundalike who I coordinated healthcare data for who seemed to enjoy talking to me
A softly spoken deep voiced Edinburgh chap who interviewed me by phone (didn't get job, boo)
Various Danske Bank IT technicians

I had pictures in my head of all of them and didn't want to ruin any illusions by looking up on LinkedIn Grin

Agree about Kathleen Turner, @NeedNewKnees

1moreglassplease · 27/07/2021 16:07

I once spoke to Robert Powell at work over the telephone. His voice is wonderful to listen to Smile
