I've had to speak to a new man a couple of times now.
His voice has me mesmerized even though I have no idea what he looks like.
This isn't the first time a male voice has had this effect.
I work with all men so I am not seeking to hear a mans voice.
Is it just me or has anyone else felt weak at the knees for the sound of someone's voice.

Yes to Alan Rickman. Also Michael Sheen and Tobias Menzies.

It’s definitely about voices and not accents specifically, I mean there are some accents that in general I don’t like but on some people they can be quite charismatic depending on the tone and timbre of their voice. And other accents I generally love but find meh on some people.

Oh yes I love Tobias Menzies' voice. I quite like his haughty expressions too

Years ago I worked in an office and the women would all want to talk to one of the blokes who phoned from a company that used us as his voice was so lovely. We'd never seen him, so no idea what he looked like. He may have had a face for radio.

I can listen to my DP for ages. I love his voice, even him saying hello melts me. He can drone on about anything (work, technical stuff to do with his mysterious and outing hobby) and I will just be entranced by his voice. He doesn't really have an accent, or anything that stands out, I think it's just because I really fancy him.

Yes I dated someone years ago and his voicemail messages made me melt ! I would listen to them over and over. He turned out to be a dickhead but his voice was lush !!

James Mason had a beautiful voice as did an old English telly actor called John Carson . Nowadays you can't get much better than Roger Allam

also an old DJ on radio one called Tom Browne had a lovely velvety silky voice. Beautiful tones

As previously mentioned: Alan Rickman. His voice had been making me weak at the knees since my teens in the 70s/80s.

David Tennant's voice isn't bad either.

and what about Tom Conte, dark brown voice.

I used to have to speak with an Italian man on the phone when at work, he worked in the offices in Italy and all our communication had to be in English.
Dear lord, he used to set my fanny off galloping like RedRum at the national when he spoke.
I've never even seen a photo of him, but in my mind he was an absolute Adonis.
I need to go lay down now 😍

I used to be a bar tender/waitress and one of the regular customers about 20 years older than me had the most alluring sexy voice I've ever heard. Deep and husky, a sort of "of the streets of London" accent without being irritatingly cockney...

I left my perfectly nice boyfriend (we were even living together) because I became sexually infatuated with this regular customer who was clearly a part time alcoholic. Bad news. Bad guy. A voice that went straight to my nether regions.
Well that wrecked a comfortable path through life!

I then met my current DH, our first interaction was on the phone. I thought "nice voice" and I was hooked. He happened to be tall dark haired and handsome, lucky me!

Yes lol, I have had calls/voice notes etc with guys I met through online apps, and one when he left me a voice note, I was like omg 😱😌

Sean Bean 😍 I used to work with a bloke from Yorkshire, who was actually about 75 so old enough to be my grandad, but his voice made me proper melt. Never admitted that to any of my colleagues though

Also most Scottish accents, Geordie and the German accent. Ohh yes.

I completely agree with Sean Bean! When I was on placement at college, so would’ve been about 16/17, I worked at a care home and there was a man at least in his early 70’s and he had a lovely Yorkshire accent. I never missed a day of placement!

I have always loved hearing my dh's voice on the phone, right from when I first met him up to this day, such a gorgeous phone voice. No one else's voice has ever stood out to me over the phone like his.

Came on here to say Alan Rickman’s voice but see lots of other posters say the same! It didn’t matter what he was in-there was something about his voice that I could have listened to for hours.
