[quote FatAnneTheDealer]**@Luna2021* and @Fkar1* unless there are specific reasons why the vaccine is not appropriate for you, you should get vaccinated ASAP as per the advice of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Pregnancy alone is not a reason to avoid the vaccine and your doctors/ midwives may not be up to date with the latest advice.

You are not any more likely than anyone else to catch the virus, and in early pregnancy you are also not more at risk than others of serious consequences (so waiting until 12 weeks will not make you any more vulnerable than anyone else). In later pregnancy it is risky to be unvaccinated and you would need a very good reason not to protect yourself and your baby.

Firstly, I'll stick to medical professionals as apposed to strangers on the internet for advice, thanks.

Secondly, I think you're misunderstanding what we're saying. We both fully understand the risks of the virus in later pregnancy hence the anger at people not isolating when showing symptoms. I waited until after 12weeks to have my first dose after speaking with my midwife and deciding this for myself. I was always going to have the vaccine, it was just a question of when. The advice for TTC / pregnant folk only changed a short while ago.

Also, please don't tell people what to do when you have zero idea of their journey to pregnancy. I can only speak for myself but as someone who experienced a devastating loss earlier this year I'm sure you can understand the hesitancy to do anything (vaccine included) in that 12 week period. Especially with the advice seeming to change so quickly.

Lastly, don't tell me that I need to protect my baby. Of course I know this and find it deeply offensive that you'd insinuate that I'm somehow not aware of then when actually, it's the only thing I'm thinking about.
