I don’t need to go to the hospital for this surely.

So I got my 2nd vaccine 2 weeks ago and a day later started with pain in my right shoulder. The opposite arm to where I got jabbed. Didn’t think anything of it but over the 2 weeks the pain is horrendous and is going into the side of my neck and the back of it. I’m also getting constant headaches and feeling sick.

I rang 111 and advised I haven’t slept funny on it, I have whacked it but I’m getting to the point I can’t lie on that side due to the pain or carry anything. 111 have said to go to a&e but I don’t think I need it. Wouldn’t get a doctor to ring me or see just said go to a&e.

Anyone know what it could be. Feel like I’m wasting a space for someone else in hospital.

And sorry, but I hate it on Mumsnet when you are not allowed to criticise the NHS. It allows the government to get away with murder, and that's despite many of the individuals working within it being hugely dedicated.

elderly person i know, bed-bound with complex medical needs, also cannot be transported in an ordinary wheelchair due to life-saving but disfiguring and function-limiting surgery, rang GP and was told they are not doing home visits. GP was quite brusque.
the best service she got was from 111 out of hours doctor.
he expected that her GP would visit during the day, but no.
GP even commented on his notes seemingly surprised at the degree of attention he had given her, various medical problems he tried to help with, and suggestions to GP re prescriptions, which we had to specifically request from GP, despite OOH doc's request to GP.
to be told that GP simply will not visit a patient who cannot leave her bed without a stretcher party; well we couldn't think what to say to that.

so no wonder A&E is over-whelmed.
by the way OP, i would suggest if going private you try a physiotherapist and/or osteopath, not chiropractor.

I got home just after 9am took 2 codeine and I’ve been asleep till now. Woken up and all the pains back. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take ages to heal. I think if I do need stronger meds I’ll be asking for a telephone appointment I can’t stand sitting there for 10 hours again 😩.

My sister's arm swelled so much after her jab that it pinched the ulnar nerve, and she had to have an operation to release it.
