Ordered a couple of linen coats on Etsy. Both for my wedding in August for me and MoH.
Sent ok from China, arrived UK on 1 July according to tracking, then…… nothing.
Put in a query and asked sender to check . This am get email.

*I completed a thorough investigation and unfortunately must confirm that the item is unaccounted for.

I’m truly sorry this situation has occurred, and you haven't received your item for the wedding therefore, I want to support you by advising you of the speediest course of action to resolve it.

Please contact your retailer, and let them know whether you would prefer a refund or replacement.

I can assure you this is not the norm as we usually deliver over 3 million parcels successfully, every day.

If you won’t be home to take delivery of your next parcel, for future deliveries, you can now choose a preferred neighbour or safe place to leave your parcel here new.myhermes.co.uk/track.html. That way, we can make sure it gets to you, even if you're not home.

If you need anything in the future, please contact your Hermes Customer Service Team and we’ll be happy to help.*

AIBU to be absolutely furious with this response? Shit attitude, shit service, shit company. I’m so glad I can change my options for delivery. How about FUCKING DELIVER IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I know it’s not the end of the world but…it’s my wedding. I’m sitting snivelling, it’s pathetic.

I’ve never had an issue with anything delivered via Hermes.
Dpd yes had a parcel that completely ripped and half the contents lost - most wee then out of stock and post office several times, once parcel opened and contents lost and other was left on a tree stump outside and vanished when I’d got home.
I don’t particularly like yodel either

Royal Mail have lost far more items of post/parcels sent to/by me than any of the other couriers. They don't care either. Unfortunately, a proportion of post will always go missing, whichever firm is used.

Stop buying from China.

YANBU to want Hermes (and companies like it) go bust and all their shareholders lose their money but not for losing your parcel, stuff like that happens in life. They should go bust for the shit way they treat their staff.

That's quite a spiteful title up negative thoughts will attract it right back at you.
Deep breaths and contact the seller and go from there, having a meltdown will achieve sfa.

Hermes are terrible and through Covid they just Chuck the parcel at front door. Ring front door and walk away. They don’t even turn around to see if I’ve opened the door before driving away. A few times I’ve had pictures of parcels in broad daylight at my front door. It’s meant to be signed for not left. I’ve had to ask family members to run to my house to move the parcel from being stolen.

You sound like a petulant brat not a grown adult

TBF to Hermes...I know their reputation but of the millions of parcels they deliver for us about 4% don't get delivered.

Which is too much and we want it down to 2% but it isn't as often as people think...
