to ask what phone you currently have?

As title says. I have never had a really good, phone, I usually have a hand-me-down from one of the DC's or a cheapo samsung.

I want to save up for a decent phone (don't want one off a contract) and I am not sure what type to go for, so thought I would be nosy and ask MN :D

Samsung S20. It is great

An ancient iPhone 6S which I bought for about £200 from JL’s customer returns cabinet. It’s had a new battery which cost £20 and I will replace it when it dies.

@BlackKittyKat there isn't a pixel 2a, I think you probably have a 2 or a 2 xl.

I pay £6/month for 4GB and calls and texts (think they might be unlimited). I mainly use it on Wi-fi, so data GB isn't too much of an issue.

I am pleased with my iPhone XR 2nd hand (£290 about 6 months ago). The rest of the family are still on 6S's.

We have a house full of apple computers, so it makes it easier to keep with the brand.

iPhone 12 Pro Max. Really pleased with it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10. I LOVE it (mainly for the large screen) but fuck me, it cost more than a month's mortgage payment!
2 out of the last 3 companies I've worked for gave me an iPhone for a work phone, I'm not a fan at all.

my DD has had a motorola E4 for 2 years now on SIM only the camera is not the best but adequate, I have just got the E6s model for £85 obviously not an iphone 12 but it does what I need it to do day to day camera whatsapp etc etc for less than £100 I have a PC and tablet for a bigger screen etc it is great as a phone but probably not the choice if you use it instead of a laptop / tablet

Iphone 11 which my husband bought me as a birthday gift, he’s now using my old iPhone 6s, which now seems tiny in comparison!

I have a Nokia 6, it does what I need it to, the GPS works and is scarily accurate, it runs all the apps I want, and when it dies I'll replace it with another Nokia. It's 14 months old and the screen is still perfect, despite me dropping the phone a number of times. Nokias are properly bombproof. DD1 reckons they and cockroaches will be the only things to survive the apocalypse. :o

Recently upgraded from the XS Max to the 12. Wish I hadn't bothered. Can't see any difference. But got a good trade in for the XSMax

I also have an iPad.

I kept all 3 devices Apple so I can use the same chargers for all. I’ve got Apple Lightning chargers in the bedroom, the living room, the office and the kitchen.

Under pressure from DS to upgrade so he can inherit mine but I'm not in any hurry

Huawei pro20 I absolutely love it. I recently got an email saying I could upgrade it and swap it for another phone but another Huawei wasn't an option so I'm just going to keep this one for now.
The battery lasts so much longer than the Samsungs I've had and the camera is great!

Sony Xperia. It does the job very well. Refuse to pay for apple.

iPhone 7 - hate it!

Upgrading to a new SE (I loved my SE it died on me) or possibly a mini 12 as soon as I can!

Had an android smart phone years ago, I know iPhone hated on here but I just find it so much easier to use

Those with older iPhones - how have you kept them going? The system updates always bugger me!

2 LL phones and a 3g Alcatel. One of the LL phones is a plug in the socket so I have a phone that works if there's a powercut.

If I want to use the internet i usually use my home wi-fi although my 3g Alcatel can do the basics if I'm out; but generally I just use it as a mobile phone.

Can't say I love any of my phones, nor would I want to, as they're just, phones, ..... and my only expectations are that they work in the way I expect them to.

Now ask me about clouds and birds and I'll wax lyrical to here and beyond about how much I love them, but a mobile phone? Nyet.
