To call the police over this girl screaming?

I can hear a girl screaming across the road in what at first sounded like a 9-12year (I'm guessing) having a tantrum. I couldn't make out what she was saying but could hear the parents shouting and screaming back.

This was about at 30minutes ago. I thought initially it's a parenting issue, not my business. Now I can clearly hear her screaming "I want to go to my mums house!" She is screaming it over and over and over at the top of her lungs. Really screaming, they are screaming back, it is relentless. It's awful and making me feel like I need to go round there and help. (I won't of course it is clearly quite volatile in there). I can hear this with their windows closed and a drive in front of their house and a road between us and my windows closed.

What would you do?

Do I leave it alone, not my business?
Call the non emergency number and report?

@2bazookas

I'd call 999, police report, and let them sort it out.
Thank goodness you've come to help out. Goodness knows what the OP would've done without your helpful response 16 hours after the fact.

Well done OP, so pleased you called. You never know

CANCEL THE CHEQUE. The op cancelled the cheque, eg reported to the police, who dealt with it hours ago. We now have an option to View All the OP's updates, so this can be avoided.

It's incredible @girlmom21 isn't it Grin

You definitely did the right thing OP . We had a neighbour who we, the neighbours on each side, had to call out the police to on many occasions when her child was having screaming tantrums for hours on end, as well as report her to social services, not just for the screaming but also that the child wasn’t going to school. The mother also waged a war of harassment on her downstairs neighbour. Ultimately the family were managed by a multi agency team They were evicted and left the area, I dread to think what became of the child. However had we not called the Police they would not have got the support they did.
