This sounds like a story with a twist in the tail.

To despise is quite a strong feeling. Is it family?

foxinsocks · 22/11/2007 21:30

my goodness woman, you should know by now that you can't give us half a story

I spent ages reading this thread trying to find the 'nese' that Desi was talking about. Doh!

Was it in RL?

Do you feel that they had some justification in what they were saying but took it a bit too far perhaps? Or were they just being downright rude?

Nightynight · 22/11/2007 22:13

do you have any way of going back and getting your own back with a bit of putting down yourself??

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:16

Adda girl, NN

WinkyWinkola · 22/11/2007 22:17

There's lots of this kind of mean thing about, pnr. Can't bear not knowing specifics though. Can't possibly say anyhing without knowing more... . . . . . ..

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 22/11/2007 22:19

"heads and shoulders toes and knees (toes and knees)
heads and shoulders toes and knees (toes and knees)
eyes and ears and mouth and nese
heads and shoulders toes and knees (toes and knees)"

I'm definitely getting the Inspecteur Clouseau vibe too ("Ees it a berm? no, it ees my nese")

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:21

Well, that's it in a nutshell, pink. At the risk of being the master of the anti-climax, I do think you should spill.

This is, after all, an anonymous forum. You'll get far more constructive advice if you let it all out.

It's possible, and I'm guessing (which is always lethal), that you have a sneaking doubt that you might be in the wrong over this incident.

Let us put you right about being wrong

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 22:26

Was it me?

"Truly happy people are too busy enjoying their lives, to have the time and energy to spend all their time putting other people down. "

yes, i think I'd agree with that.

WinkyWinkola · 22/11/2007 22:27

But we won't put you down. Mostly constructive on MN.. . . . . .... how can I get on with my essay now when this seems so much more interesting....Sigh. Anything is more interesting actually.

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 22:27

that was supposed to read 'oh god, sorry, was it me?' rather than the crowing version that appeared above.

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:29

Oh, c'mon Winky. You're dying for one of us to ask .. so I will.

What's the essay about?

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 22/11/2007 22:36

No-one likes my singing

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:38

Well, it was diabolical.

Eugh, ear wax on my fingers ....

LydiaTheTattooedLapin · 22/11/2007 22:40

Well, she is very heavy

WinkyWinkola · 22/11/2007 22:40

Ooh no, I thought the singing was good.

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:44

Pah! Any how, I shall be emailing you shortly, wabbit.

But for now, I'm away to my bed.

But I would like to leave you with two comments:-

  1. If you mix a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda into a cup of warm water and use it as a final rinse on your hair (no washing out), you will look like Elle McPherson.
  1. What ever happened to Pan?

And on that note, good night

Desiderata · 22/11/2007 22:45

.. and those earth shattering comments were not aimed specifically at Bugs Bunny.

onebatmother · 23/11/2007 13:02

i tried that bicarb thing and now when I turn my head my hair is still looking straight ahead.

Desiderata · 23/11/2007 15:08

Ha ha ha!
