Just that. But somehow feels embarrassing to admit how much I CRAVE the stuff.

Someone tell me I’m not alone??

How much are you drinking OP?

I thought maybe you meant artificial growth hormones or something. Which is why I asked!

peachyandkeen · 29/06/2021 01:00

@Dita73 soluble aspiring in milk. With. Sugar. Envy - sick face not envy face!! This sounds putrid and I’m sorry you had to endure it

@NiceGerbil - much less than I used to. But probs still a good pint a day (excluding milk in tea / coffee)

Basically, not to make a mockery of addiction, but I need a sponsor!!!

ZednotZee · 29/06/2021 01:03

Better to be partial to cravendale than chardonnay OP!

peachyandkeen · 29/06/2021 01:04

@ZednotZee I’m not nearly sophisticated enough for Cravendale!

@sparepantsandtoothbrush 🤣🤣🤣

Tiramiwho · 29/06/2021 01:16

Cravwndale yes, but filtered milk of any brand ( Aldi, Tesco etc ) is much nicer and causes me no bloating, as opposed to regular milk.
Do you ever drink it hot last thing at night op? 😋

Tiramiwho · 29/06/2021 01:16

Cravendale

NiceGerbil · 29/06/2021 01:32

I don't get it OP!

A pint of milk a day is zero problem and I'd say good for you!

Why do you want to stop?

I'm properly baffled!

The only drink to switch to from there is water! And nice as water is (I'm a big fan of water), it's not got all those minerals vitamins etc in it.

NiceGerbil · 29/06/2021 01:33

A lot seem to agree with you though-

Have I wandered into a niche topic with subtext I'm missing or something Grin

FlowerArranger · 29/06/2021 01:36

Milk has quite a lot of calories!

In the US, most dairy cows (and beef cattle...) are given hormones Shock

steff13 · 29/06/2021 01:41

Is the OP in the US?

NiceGerbil · 29/06/2021 02:19

OP said it wasn't artificial hormones they were worried about

Confused
PerciphonePuma · 29/06/2021 02:38

Christ that's nothing, I drink around 4 pints of milk per day 😬🙈

KindnessMyFriends · 29/06/2021 02:51

I'm addicted to greek yogurt. Eat vast quantities of it every day. Been this way for about a year. It's my main meal pretty much every day with some frozen cherries or blueberries. It's like ice cream for dinner every day. I know this is weird!

Pixxie7 · 29/06/2021 03:16

I was like that, it’s not an addiction as such but more of a habit.

ivfgottwins · 29/06/2021 03:18

I couldn't get enough of the white stuff....when I was pregnant....with twins 🤣

starrynight21 · 29/06/2021 03:58

I'm in my 60's, always loved milk. I'd guess that I drink about a pint every day, and always have. DH is the same. We're both in excellent health, and when I had a bone density scan recently it came back as " remarkably strong bone density" which I was chuffed about. It's all that calcium !

DukeofEarlGrey · 29/06/2021 04:54

I love milk too OP. I have to stop myself drinking it but probably have more than a pint a day including all the milky tea and coffee I drink. For me the concern is mainly calories, especially as I love whole milk the best. I think switching to organic is better when it comes to the hormones.

As for the hot day question... have you tried keeping a stash of Mini Milks in the freezer? 😀

Hm2020 · 29/06/2021 05:20

I had this a few years ago I thought maybe my body was lacking in something because it was such a craving went away in the end I can take it or leave it now.

weegiepower · 29/06/2021 07:18

Personally I hate milk but my 6 year old is completely addicted.. he's got an expensive taste for jersey milk but will drink anything, it's a struggle to get him to drink anything else!

LEMtheoriginal · 29/06/2021 07:42

This thread is making me nauseous. I will have a small amount of skimmed milk in tea and thats it. If someone puts too much milk in my tea its fucked.

My mum used to force me to drink milk as a child. From a tupperware beaker Envy

Millionsofpeachez · 29/06/2021 07:49

Hot??? Boak!!! You lot are on your own with this! I have a few small drips in my tea, that’s all I can stand. I was one of the 70’s kids forced to drink a warm sour mini bottle every morning at school. Put me off for life. I do love yoghurt and cheese though.
