AIBU to share my news with you?!

So, after a crappy few years that includes dropping out of School, not finishing my A Levels, working Min Wage Jobs to survive, having a baby, health scares, diagnosed anxiety disorder and a mental breakdown, I have now applied to University!

My family don't seem particularly bothered so I just wanted to share my news here instead.

I submitted my application this morning and the decision is pending. I should hear back by the 6th July. I'm excited and scared!

Thats brilliant! Well done you. Its a big achievement for anyone, but having overcome all the challenges you have had is particularly amazing. What are you going to study?

Thank you all! I haven't mentioned what subject because it's common for the response to belittle said subject. It reguarly gets called a pointless and waste of time subject. But ultimately, I'm not studying it to gain a specific career. I've chosen it because I love it. It's for my own personal gratification and enjoyment. Besides, any degree is better than no degree, surely. (:
