Where can I find decent quality chicken breaststroke

cheesecrackerz · 27/06/2021 19:09

Tesco and Sainsburys chicken breaststroke seem to be pumped full of water which comes out when they're coked and it's disgusting

I am fed up with it, and it's beginning to be incredibly off putting!

Is waitrose or co op any better?
No M and S, asda, aldi, lidl, morrisons near us..

Can't speak for welfare but its certified as cage free

Cage free means absolutely nothing in terms of animal welfare. But hey, what does it matter if the chicken had a shit life and a worse death as long as a) the meat doesn’t have water and salt added and b) you can buy in bulk?

HoneyzAiy · 27/06/2021 22:35

Nice try op, but this isn’t being nominated for classics. Cringe

JingsMahBucket · 27/06/2021 22:35

@cheesecrackerz if you’re in central London then try a halal butcher. The meat there is usually good quality and it’s fresh because they do such a roaring trade. Lots of turnover, especially on key family shopping days.

Blowingagale · 27/06/2021 23:31

Frankly not that bothered if this type of thread is real. Yes it made me smile. Generally things get to classics by what develops after the OP - a few puns on breaststroke won’t do that. If it did set out a fun, frivolous or even serious thread would it matter if it was genuine?

I save my anger for posters pretending to be very ill or a relative in trouble.

JingsMahBucket · 28/06/2021 00:14

Well said @Blowingagale.

cheesecrackerz · 28/06/2021 07:15

Nowhere have I implied or suggested this thread should be nominated for classics, it's hardly worthy Confused

Whilst trying to multitask cooking said watery chicken breasts and type on a very small phone screen, I didnt botticelli a couple of autocorrects

Hardly worth getting your knickers in a twist over, people! Cool it.

And yes, I was asking for serious answers, it's not exactly a fun topic Grin thanks to those who have shared their recommendations!

Botticelli!! 😂🤣😂🤣 OP what do you do?

Your frequently used words are not the usual go to for autocorrect 😩😂😂

SmallPrawnEnergy · 28/06/2021 08:30

Botticelli!! 😂🤣😂🤣 OP what do you do?
Not much I’m guessing, other than creating threads with the sole purpose of getting some attention. I mean, Botticelli isn’t even in the same letter string as notice, and the intentional placement of the “autocorrected” word is screamingly obvious. It’s embarrassing that people are this starved for attention.

FangsForTheMemory · 28/06/2021 08:32

Is this chlorinated chicken breaststroke?

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 28/06/2021 08:37

I get the taste the difference chicken breasts from Sainsbury’s for this very reason

Elys3 · 28/06/2021 08:40

Go for organic or pipers farm.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 28/06/2021 08:40

I didn't see Botticelli as a contrived autocorrect.
I presumed the OP was using it deliberately to suggest she hadn't 'artistically created' the autocorrects for attention.
It's a chicken breast thread folks, those getting their knickers in a twist are overthinking it I think?

MobyDicksTinyCanoe · 28/06/2021 08:41

The olympics maybe?

AgnesNaismith · 28/06/2021 08:47

The use of Botticelli is not embarrassing for the OP here Wink

Lmao I also thought OP was trying to type 'notice' but artistically created makes sense
cheesecrackerz · 28/06/2021 10:47

It was an autocorrect for notice

I have never typed breaststroke or botticelli on my phone previously. Just type fast.

I'm not sure why people get so upset by it Grin

cheesecrackerz · 28/06/2021 10:59

I've heard mixed reviews of taste the difference but will give them a go

You should have kept schtum about Botticelli OP, I was trying to give you credit there! Grin

mustlovegin · 28/06/2021 12:33

I find Waitrose is ok (and Sainsbury's as well TBH)

Mum2jenny · 28/06/2021 12:41

Free range definitely, and organic too if possible, irrespective of where you get the chicken from.

Skysblue · 28/06/2021 22:54

Ocado have some good suppliers
