AIBU to be utterly peed off that another one of our Ministers - rather than devoting his time and effort to getting the country out of this mess - is busy carrying on with an aide (which he appointed at great expense to the tax payer) - aaaaaaag.

Oh my, to think I felt quite sorry for him. How the hell does he have time for a affair?

His poor wife and kids. I feel so bad for them.

He has definitely been set up by a nasty little crettin I dont doubt who has been recently gunning for him. He is the fall guy.

Still if he hadn't grabbed some woman's arse and kissed her while being married he might not have egg on his face right now.

ButteringMyArse · 25/06/2021 13:16

@Marchitectmummy

I don't feel anything for Matt Hancock but it's private business.
It really isn't.
QueenCoconut · 25/06/2021 13:16

@HeronLanyon

Listening to 1 o clock news. Fully struck me now how absolutely awful this is. I am sick to death of those supposed to be leading us through and out of this emergency continually breach the rules. It won’t make me breach them because I am guided by what science I understand and the necessity, societally for restrictions such as they are still. Absolute disgrace. I 100% think he should resign and hang his head in shame.
Absolutely agree. It’s embarrassing to watch.
Whichjab · 25/06/2021 13:17

Maybe someone dared her?

Or paid her/has something on her? It just feels too orchestrated. The whole picture , getting caught on camera...I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories but something feels very off about this.

Wiredforsound · 25/06/2021 13:18

@Backhills

I actually feel sorry for him here. It's not like he's the only one.

"Someone" clearly has it in for him, which makes me think he's probably someone who wouldn't toe the line and knowing what we know about the people policing the line, that's probably a good thing.

I don't think he's got everything right during the crisis, but I do think he's been facing an impossible situation and has genuinely tried to do it with compassion, at the same time as having those who should have been supporting him undermining him. I don't know who could have walked into that job knowing exactly what to do. Health Secretary was always going to be something you couldn't succeed at during this time.

Are you his mum?
mbosnz · 25/06/2021 13:18

Haven't broken my marriage vows, haven't sold favours to mates at the expense of the nation, didn't break the rules that he constantly admonished us to follow.

Off with the little fucker's head. Either the big one or the little one, I don't care.

Applesonthelawn · 25/06/2021 13:19

Agree he should be fired, and although I have huge sympathy for his wife, am looking forward to Boris squirming with the awkwardness of firing someone for infidelity. (Obviously it will be rule breaking, but it's. uncomfortably close).

derxa · 25/06/2021 13:19

@boobot1

I can't believe two women fancied himConfused
What do you look like?
Whichjab · 25/06/2021 13:20

are you his mum

Grin
Ijustknowitstimetogo · 25/06/2021 13:23

Omfg. He is literally having an affair in front of the entire country.

Surely his political career can’t survive this? Or his marriage.

He’s apologising for the lack of social distancing? Brazen bastard.

Applesonthelawn · 25/06/2021 13:24

@Pazuzu

I wonder just how many of the people screaming from the roof tops for his head have followed the rules as scrupulously as they're expecting him to?
I get your point, but is it unreasonable for me to expect the people leading the country in positions of great responsibility to have characters better than the average person?
ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 25/06/2021 13:24

Hands face sÌ·pÌ·aÌ·cÌ·eÌ· arse and very social non distancing close contact tracing!

Blinkingbatshit · 25/06/2021 13:24

If you’re going to fire Matt Hancock for adultery then you’re going to have to fire Boris too, the man has (approximately!) SEVEN children, over half of whom were born as the result of an affair….. why on Earth do the British public have such double standards?

LadyEloise · 25/06/2021 13:26

6 children caught in the maelstrom.
Sad

OhWhyNot · 25/06/2021 13:26

Of course his political career can survive this we have PM who is a serial adulterer most people don’t really care it’s just gossip

But those who are trying to make him the fall guy for this past 18 months will see to the end of his senior political career

HeronLanyon · 25/06/2021 13:30

Also sick of just men commentating on this (radio 4 world at one).
If we carry on allowing this crap in those leadership positions then not one single one of us could be sanctioned for breaching mn rules likewise.
Many won’t because we actually give a shit and have morals but this who don’t or don’t want to follow guidelines , what on Earth precedent is this giving ?
All the data says this will not be the last pandemic - they are likely to occur again. What’s the point in any guideline, any sanction, if they are ignored with impunity by those expected above all to show leadership.

Thewiseoneincognito · 25/06/2021 13:32

Let’s also not forget Gina was fully aware he had a wife too and also has a husband. She’s hardly pushing him away in that image. Both a pair of scumbags.

It’s just too convenient though. Does anyone else not see this?

First of all you had the Queen expressing her sympathy for him to BJ and literally a few days later you have this. What a perfect way to undermine the public’s opinion of one of the men in charge, regardless of how useless he is now effectively screwed by his own doing.

It’ll be interesting to see his replacement and how Bj can spin infidelity. 👀

THEDEACON · 25/06/2021 13:32

He's admitted breaking Covid regulations and he's very sorry Aye for getting caught!

GreatBigBird · 25/06/2021 13:36

Another press conference in Downing Street gardens to discuss breaching covid rules?

IGiveUpalready · 25/06/2021 13:38

@Shehasadiamondinthesky

I liked him. I no longer ikea him. He has joined the chorus of absolute knob ends.
I think that will be my new favourite phrase..

I no longer ikea him :D This could be the new code for arseholes and knob ends

I suspect he's had more than egg on his face!
TheBobJog · 25/06/2021 13:40

God, even in those images they look like a pair of awkward, embarrassing, fumbling dorks.

Arrogant, over privileged tossweasels.

OliviaWainright · 25/06/2021 13:44

YUBU linking to The Sun ;) ;)

What is royally pissing me off, is all the press are "oh no, he didn't observe social distancing". Seriously, that's the WORST they're getting out of this?

1AngelicFruitCake · 25/06/2021 13:44

@Ilovelove

RE Boris

Surely we all are so resigned to the fact that the man has no moral compass and is completely out for himself has meant that he has manipulated the bar being so low for himself he gets away with anything. For others, we still hold out some hope for integrity.

It just sickens me when I think of his behaviour that other people get held to higher standards. He’s accountable, hes in charge!
the80sweregreat · 25/06/2021 13:45

The press do not care about the money being given to lobbyists. Not a jot.
