Charlie Hunnam but only as Jax Teller.
Absolutely.
And Taylor Kitsch as Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights (see my username for proof of devotion).
It’s falling for the role/character, isn’t it? It’s not even that some of these guys come across as plonkers in interviews and chat shows (definitely looking at you, Mr Hiddleston), it’s that even the ones who come across well and are engaging in other roles, they just shine in roles for which they are perfectly cast.
Conversely, there are actors I just didn’t “get” based solely on looks, but are so engaging in chats that I develop little crushes. Jamie Dorman on Graham Norton is so bloody likeable and sexy that I actually started seeking out his work and though I’ve never fallen for one of his characters I just find him incredibly appealing.
Finally, there are some actors that just bring it every time, on screen and off. Clooney being the prime example.
And early Mel Gibson (before all the controversy). Gallipoli, Mad Max, Year of Living Dangerously, The Bounty, god I could go on...
What a lovely thread to end my evening.
