I threw it back into the freezer and slammed the door on it. HARD! That'll teach it.

Ah.. reminds me of the "barbecue" food I bought - the labels said to pre-cook in the oven!

lol! you sound similar to me.... I have got several things out of the freezer on occassions in the past thinking you can cook it one way when you can't... Most frustrating.... and normally the freezer door gets it...
