Does it say anywhere on listing "seller will dispatch within xx working days after received payment" or something like that?

flipflopper · 21/11/2007 15:20

Unless she has stated in the item description that she can't post item until friday, i would expect it to be posted on either the monday or tuesday.

How bloody annoying for you though to have no buggy in this weather.

must sleep, I had a similar thing happen, then after trying to contact seller loats of times it finally came. Seller gave me negative feedback, went on about " some people have to work you know"!!!!

meglet · 21/11/2007 16:53

YANBU. She should have said when she could post it. I usually make sure my items end on a day when I am not working so I can post them that day or the day after.

mustsleep · 22/11/2007 10:00

not it didn't say anything about it anywhere just that it would be sent via other couier and would cost £20!!!

hi myHOHOlola have emailed her about it ... it got picked up on tuesday so i thought that it would be with her on wednesday but having looked at my dleivery receipty thing it says that it's dhl home postage whatever that is

am going to track it now , brain is getting rather seive like lately , must be all the getting rained on!

bollocks and now dh has come up with the super idea of spending some family time together by going out for the day tomorrow, but with no buggy that's impossible now!!

typical that he would pick this weekend

I bought some clothes for ds when he was 3 months old. Got message to say they would be posted next day. Got another message at the end of the week to say that their child had been ill and they hadn't got to post office, but would be in post the next working day. I replied saying that was fine and hoped her child was feeling better.
When the parcel had not arrived after 2 weeks I emailed to check that everything was OK and said that I understood if her child was still unwell, but that I wanted an idea of when I would get things. Didn't hear anything, so waited a further 2 weeks and sent a similar email.
It was only when I sent another email, by this time 7 weeks after I had bought the item, asking for a refund that I got a reply. No, there hadn't been any problems, she'd just not got round to posting it, she was apologetic, but when I had bought the items ds was putting on weight at the rate of 10 oz a week. When the clothes finally turned up 9 weeks after I had bought them, luckily his growth had slowed and he was only 3lb heavier than when I had bought them for immediate use and I have had 4 weeks use out of them. The person did include another free outfit, but when a person buys a 3-6 month item 2 months earlier you might think twice before sending a 0-3 freebie.

So, YANBU, using a buy-it-now option allows the seller to get money earlier and usually more than they might have got from auction if there are similar items available.
I will be listing things this Thursday (29th) and have stated when I plan to post things, but also that if things don't go as planned I will contact folks to let them know. Most folks don't mind waiting as long as they are kept informed and the wait isn't longer than a day or 2 more than they were expecting.
