To ask you to help me find this wooden duck :(

I know it’s not an AIBU but it’s urgent, I’m absolutely gutted.
I have just returned from holiday with my DM and DD and whilst we were there I fell in love with a wooden duck with pink boots painted on and a little scarf around it’s neck. My DM brought the duck as a little surprise for me and I adore it. However my daughters dad has just come to visit my DD and he threw this duck at me and it’s smashed to bits and it’s totally unfixable. Can anybody help me find another one before my DM notices? I’ll post a picture of the said duck albeit smashed to bits.

BTW, my DD never saw or heard anything. His temper is the reason we are not together.

There’s a shop in Lyme Regis that sells them.

I’ve still got the blue scarf maybe I can get away with this one and paint the polka dots blue?

The boots on the DCUK ducks are quite different from the ones on your lovely ducks. I’ve got a bit of a collection but none similar enough to yours or I would post it to you. What an awful thing to happen to you. Well done for leaving him and for calling the police

What benefit is it to dd to have contact with this man? Can you try for no contact?

I hope when your beautiful duck is fixed or replaced you put it somewhere the horrible bastard can see but can’t get to, let him know things don’t stay broken just because he thinks he’s a hard man that throws his weight around.

Could you contact the Haven site and ask if they have contact details for the stall holder? You don't need to say why.

I honestly don’t think your mum will remember exactly what the duck was like. She will no doubt think any of the ducks posted were the right duck as long as they were vaguely the same.

Sorry OP . I think you need to take out an injunction to stop this man from contacting you or ever coming to the house again and would look into moving to get away from him. He sounds seriously dangerous.

Op, if you can’t find all the pieces or can’t find a replacement it looks like you have a good amount of the detailed parts so it should be repairable.

Rather than wood I would consider something like an air drying clay to mould the missing parts and use wire to attach it all together internally A bit like armatures you’d use for clay animations like morph (I’ve done this myself and if your father is handy he should be able to do this)
There’s some good clays that will be pale blond colour and take a wood stain it would look reasonably good.

And I get it OP.

Your ex Wanker ruined a precious memory from your mother to you. Wanting it replaced is mending the wound your ex is gouging deeper.

May I also suggest whilst you’re in a repairing mood you make a poppet of the wee little ex wanker and stab pins in it right up his arsehole.
