To ask you to help me find this wooden duck :(

I know it’s not an AIBU but it’s urgent, I’m absolutely gutted.
I have just returned from holiday with my DM and DD and whilst we were there I fell in love with a wooden duck with pink boots painted on and a little scarf around it’s neck. My DM brought the duck as a little surprise for me and I adore it. However Sad my daughters dad has just come to visit my DD and he threw this duck at me and it’s smashed to bits and it’s totally unfixable. Can anybody help me find another one before my DM notices? I’ll post a picture of the said duck albeit smashed to bits.

BTW, my DD never saw or heard anything. His temper is the reason we are not together.

I think you need to call the police personally..he attacked you didn't he? I hope he is never with your child alone. And I think any visits should be with another adult present, in public.
I have called the police I never said I didn’t. I just want to source another duck right now.

Is there a possibility you could glue him all back together? Or ask online if there is a repair shop locally who could fix him?

My dad is a carpenter and he’s coming over in the morning to take a look, but I’m struggling to source all of the pieces ☹️

What sort of shape was it, standing, sitting. Can you try and piece it together to give us an idea. Hope you and dd are safe and the police help you. What a nasty thing to do.

They've got them on Ebay, white spots on the boots but you could paint/ colour them in. So sorry your ex is violent and abusive. I don't think you or your dd should have to see him any more, he sounds dangerous.

He was just standing, with his little wellies on 😞 it was awful he was stood in my kitchen window waiting for my dd and because I didn’t answer him the way he wanted me to he through it as I turned to walk away. He isn’t able to access my house for this reason, he talks to our DD though my kitchen window. It’s not ideal but it is what it is, oh and as he walked away he ripped his Father’s Day present up which again my DD didn’t see! Urgh he’s horrid!

If it was a dcuk duck with a name tag you could search online for her? If not, maybe contact the shop, explain it has broken and ask if they'd consider posting a replacement (obviously for you to pay the p&p as well as for the replacement)

It wasn’t a shop it was the haven site in Devon cliffs just a little market stall ☹️

What a wanker- I hope you can get him out of BOTH your lives 🤞🏼no Dad is better than a Dad like that. I know she didn't see it this time, but she will & she (&you) deserve better
I'd be astounded if your dad can make it look ok. If you can afford a new one, I'd do that.

Then I'd keep all the bits of the broken one in a bag to remind me why he shouldn't be around me or DD

And upset your mother totally unnecessarily? Just because you don't want to 'cover up' for the arsehole? My Mum would be upset, angry and above all, bloody worried sick that it would escalate next time. Why worry her???

I know Devon Cliffs very well I hope you had a nice holiday and the weather was good. I didnt know they had market stalls but the staff may have a list of the market stall holders. Someone here might live or be visiting Exmouth who can have a look for you.
