To be annoyed that my DD's prize TV doesn't work?

A while ago DD managed to persuade me to enter a Bratz magazine in order to win a Bratz TV. Well, this afternoon a parcel was delivered containing said TV!!!! We were all very excited especially DD. It's a rather posh 15" LCD with integrated DVD player. Except it doesn't work. Tried it with a new arial, no signal. No DVD logo when DVD button on remote is pressed.DP knows what he's doing with these things but still no joy.
I'm intending to phone up tomorrow morning as office was shut when I rang before but I'm quite annoyed. DD was so elated and then so disappointed. How justified can I be in my annoyance?

congrats on winning...can understand your disappointment though...
Try not to be annoyed with them when you call them tomorrow, as it was a prize, they're more likely to be helpful with you if you dont bite their heads off

Thank you. Yes I thought going down the path of a very dispppointed little girl might be more effective. I'm totally against TVs in the bedroom and I'm not all that keen on Bratz but I never thought she'd win!!! Serves me right, I guess

Well, I phoned this morning and spoke to someone who said that they'd sort it out and they would ring me back. Haven't heard anything yet though. Might ring later if I haven't heard anything by 4.

Had a phone call from a woman from the Prize Dept yesterday afternoon. I'm to send the TV back to Dundee and will be reimbursed. They'll sort it out quickly for the sake of DD.

I was very impressed. Also found out that 6000 children entered to win 1 TV. So Dd was extremely lucky
