To think I'm not being unreasonable about my lack of excitement?

Me and hubby upgraded our cars today and they will be ready start of July. Husband got a completely different make and model, fancier car than the one he has just now. Whereas I just chose the same make and model that I have now, only difference being that it's a different model and a 2021 plate. Since then he has been very excited which is fair enough, but he keeps asking if I am and I'm not really - why would I be? It's the same car basically. He's now had a few drinks and is calling me ungrateful and spoiled Hmm

AIBU? He's like a dog with a bone tonight, it's quite odd really.

I get you OP
We both lease - DH starts planning his new car a year before
I don’t give a shit as long as i can drive it 😆
Mines due to end in Dec i and I like that car and not sure if there is anything around that I like at the moment so I may just change it for a new colour as I really dislike the colour I have now

I could care less about cars and have been known to answer "black", when asked what type of car I wanted or had!🤣

I certainly have never felt excited about changing car, but then I wouldn't dream of buying a new car or leasing one.

Your husband becoming insulting towards you with a few drinks, over your lack of excitement is more concerning.

I have NEVER had a conversation with a woman about are cars so maybe not being particularly interested in them is not uncommon.

I bet that’s not the first time.

Another thing with lease cars is you don't have to get MOTs during the 3 years and the services are usually included in the overall price as well as if anything goes wrong with it. Only thing you have to worry about paying is insurance and petrol.

Cars get much more hassle the older they get

My car is 10 years old.
It gets an annual service and MOT once a year. I don't see that as hassle.

YANBU. Your DH is a twat if he thinks he gets to dictate what you have to be excited about.
