Oh for goodness’ sake, just Les Intouchables. If you don’t laugh, cry, beat yourself up, PLEASE
examine yourself, you need to reassess.

Petes dragon. Yes it’s a kids movie but it’s my go to movie.

fairys1 · 31/05/2021 20:55

I feel old but Something's Gotta Give is a great movie. Love all the actors.

The Dish.
I completely agree - I love the Dish!
Ozymandias101 · 31/05/2021 21:54

I particularly love the scene where they are simultaneously playing cricket in the dish and using the central antenna as a wicket, while complaining that the Americans don't take them seriously as scientists. Absolute gold!

The Princess Bride
Blithe Spirit (Margaret Rutherford is a delight and Madam Arcati)
Star Trek (the first Chris Pine one and also Star Trek Beyond)
Willow
Return to Me
Heart and Souls (there will be some crying though)

I second Baby Boom, Legally Blonde (watched it tonight with my 16 year old DD), While You Were Sleeping

Mucho Mucho Amor.

Not a movie, but a documentary about a Latino Astrologer who touched SO many peoples lives. He was larger than life himself.

Just a good hearted person who wanted to make others feel good.

My god I felt so uplifted after watching it.

It's on Netflix.

The inn of the sixth happiness - one of the best films ever made!

Needhelp101 · 01/06/2021 00:15

On the basis of this thread, I've just watched Legally Blonde. So good 😁
I'm now onto Miss Congeniality.
Second Pride. Absolutely wonderful film.

Grin I feel as strongly as you about this film. I envy anyone who hasn't yet seen it. Amazon.

Enchanted April
Under The Tuscan Sun
Love is All You Need ( don't be put off by the periodic subtitles)

Hopeisnotastrategy · 01/06/2021 07:42

A Good Year

Hopeisnotastrategy · 01/06/2021 07:46

I've just noticed, all my choices involve running away to somewhere sunny and beautiful with luscious old houses. That's me in a nutshell! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Crankley · 01/06/2021 08:24

I second As Good As It Gets with Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, Greg Kinnear and Cuba Gooding Jr.

WhenPushComesToShove · 07/06/2021 10:28

Spy with Melissa McCarthy; never laughed so much in my entire life!
