I thought DC was absolutely right though when he said the country had the choice between BJ and JC - what a bloody choice that was.

Anyone else unable to read or hear the words "Barnard Castle" without thinking of strange eye tests? Cummings didn't apologise for his behaviour then because he felt he'd done nothing wrong - classic arrogant superiority complex.

I wonder if criminal charges will arise from the information presented today. The families of those people who died should push for manslaughter charges against Johnson etc al. Care Homes are being investigated by the Crown prosecution service. They need to focus their attentions towards the very senior government members who failed to do their jobs with devastating consequences.

The later stuff about Johnson in September is dreadful. The families of the bereaved are understandably very upset today.

I just feel really sad for Britain, we really deserved better.

MaryPat I wish criminal charges could be brought against the Prime Minister. The blitz saw fewer deaths in the UK than Covid 19, and according to Imperial College around 21,000 fewer deaths would have occurred had there been prompt action. Which I believe alternative Tory leaders would have done, and even Jeremy Corbyn.

The 'Boris is incompetent' line is unlikely to be the whole truth.

Boris chooses to act the way he does. He isn't desperately trying to do better - he chooses not to care about issues effecting millions of those most in need.
Instead he chooses to focus on issues of direct benefit to him (with one eye on where he'll land after he finishes being PM).

Dominic Cummings speaks like he's lying - it's just impossible to tell which bit is the truth if any. Mind you they are all crowd of lying arse covering shits.

I have a local Conservative MP and hear how dealings are done, foreign trips against the rules but made 'ok' by being offshore on hatch's, setting himself up for a place on the Lords whilst making all of the connections with Asia that he needs for his future work. Grim dealings.

He could be very smart in regards to academic intelligence and cunning, however, he severely lacks emotional intelligence and as a result I personally don’t see him as overall that intelligent.

I think he's keen for people to perceive him as a genius, hence why he retrospectively edited his blog to make it seem as though he'd predicted the pandemic.

I don't think he comes across as very articulate - that's why I assumed he is lying - he's just not convincing in his delivery.

He just does not come across like someone you'd take advice from. And I agree with him - he's no genius - or if he is, he hides it well.

At least Cummings has admitted he didn’t do a good job and referred to himself as a donkey. Quite self deprecating I think
