To ask about your nightwear

Prompted because of pics people put on SM “relaxing in my PJs” or “ready for bed and just chilling” in lovely, silky attire which would drive me mad to sleep in, plus a different set each night! So my questions to you are:
Do you have special evening outfits which you then remove for bed?
How many sleep outfits do you have? I have two (plus one ancient backup in case of unimaginable disaster) and wear each for a couple of nights.

I have nice little silk pyjama sets, I have nice cute loungewear sets. I get changed as soon as I get home, however I take them off to go to sleep and sleep naked. I just prefer it that way

Birthday suit since about age 10. Always available, readily laundered and not prone to wear out. Strappy vest and knickers if sharing with anyone other than DH, which hasn't happened for many years. One nightie in the loft, left over from maternity days.

kowari · 27/05/2021 23:21

Do you have special evening outfits which you then remove for bed? No. I might change tshirt and put on a comfy hoodie after work.

How many sleep outfits do you have? Two. Pyjama bottoms and tshirts.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/05/2021 23:50

I change into “lounge wear” after work - even now I WFH I like to have that division of the day. For actual bed i wear nightshirts, and knickers. I have five nightshirts and wear a fresh one every night.

Laufeythejust · 28/05/2021 00:00

I change into a hoodie and pj bottoms whenever I am in the house for longer than 5 minutes Grin
I sleep naked but have nice pjs for when sharing with someone other than DP and silk PJs for when I want to be sexy (although it’s hard to be sexy when you try and get in bed in them and end up skidding off the other end because of how slippy they are!)

StarlightLady · 28/05/2021 06:09

I’m surprised how many people sleep with their knickers on. In the summer (remember that?), I often don’t even wear them at home in the evenings. Periods an exception of course.

wombatspoopcubes · 28/05/2021 06:16

I wear a feeding/nursing shirt with two wash cloths stuffed in it for milk leakage and leggings.

It used to be cute nighties but life changed. I don't care as long as I sleep comfortably (instead of waking up in a cold wet milk puddle Confused)

Marmite27 · 28/05/2021 06:20

I wear pjs. Usually from supermarkets or Primark.

I have long sleeved with flannel bottoms. Jersey with long sleeves and short sleeves with long bottoms. I don’t often get too hot in bed, but I have a couple of cropped bottoms and vest tops for those days.

I wear mine for 2 nights.

OldTinHat · 28/05/2021 06:21

I sleep wearing the outfit mother nature delivered me in. I hope to god there's never an emergency that requires me to leap from my duvet in the middle of the night - I would be a media headliner for all the wrong reasons!

garlictwist · 28/05/2021 06:24

I am a very cold person and sleep in fleecy pj bottoms, a t shirt and a hoodie.

LolaNova · 28/05/2021 06:25

I sleep naked. I have a couple of pairs of pj bottoms and vest tops with hidden support that I throw on later in the day if I’m not planning on going anywhere, like if I’ve been for a run and I can’t be bothered to put proper clothes back on.

GertietheGherkin · 28/05/2021 06:30

I've got looooads of PJ's, all different styles full leg and long sleeved tops/ vest tops/ normal t-shirt tops. I usually wear these in the Winter... Also cropped/ shorts cotton pj bottoms. I tend to wear these for summer. Usually I just grab any. I wear a fresh pair every night, I don't sleep in any though as they get all trussed up in bed.

speakout · 28/05/2021 19:04

I am a cold but often sweaty sleeper. My temperature tends to fluctuate- I usually sleep with open windows and a thick duvet, but will often wake cold after kicking off covers or too warm.
So I find thick cotton jammies work best- soft and comfy, absorbent but will keep me warm.
I wear a fresh pair every night.

speakout · 28/05/2021 19:06

I also dislike wearing pjs outside of bedtime. Pyjamas are for sleeping in only. Never at any other times.

19lottie82 · 28/05/2021 20:14

Usually a pair of primark bottoms and a random t shirt

QueenPaw · 28/05/2021 20:15

I have loads of pjs but all very.. not grown up designs Grin

3 pairs of M&S pyjamas, all getting on a bit now.
Now and then, when they’re all in the wash, I’ve been known to wear a pair of dh’s thermal long johns (he’s worn them maybe twice in 10 years) with one of the cotton vests he only wears in extremely wintry weather.
And very comfortable they both are, too!

Suzi888 · 28/05/2021 20:31

A primark nightie/PJ bottoms- cheap so have loads. Jasper Conran dressing gown- in case I ever need to make a speedy exit 🤣

fruitpastille · 28/05/2021 20:38

PJ bottoms (shorts when warm) and M&S secret support vest for sleeping plus a hoodie/ fluffy socks for lounging/ watching tv. I put mine on around 8pm when youngest goes to bed if I don't need to go out again. I would wear them for breakfast in the morning maybe but not any later. So 8pm-8am. I wouldn't be posting photos online but I could answer the door.
