Tiny hotel room - aibu to ask to change?

I've just arrived at a Travelodge after a truly horrible journey so may not be in the best frame of mind atm but the room is absolutely tiny. It's literally a couple of feet bigger than the double bed all around. I'm sharing with my sister and there's only one chair and no space to sit on the floor even. I'm too damn tired to do anything tonight but WIBU to ask to change tomorrow?

I've stayed in the same hotel before and had nice bigger rooms so they are available.

@Whatpaint

Any response to your tweets OP?
I had to fill a form in and they'll get back to me within seven days.

I'd plaster this all over the place, everywhere.

QuestionableMouse · 26/05/2021 22:13

I'll give them chance to respond first then see what they say. I would like a full refund but I have a feeling it'll be a battle.

Fair enough to give them a chance to respond, I agree with you.

Good luck!

Thank you!

Slightly off topic, but I didn’t know about Imgur as an app, and it seems to contain personal info?

QuestionableMouse · 27/05/2021 06:25

That's not my real name - what other info can you see? I only use the app which is different to the Web version.

I stayed in a revolting hotel in Birmingham paid for by the NHS as I was a guest speaker/observer of sorts at a conference on autism.
I couldn't get the door open properly when I entered as the bedside cabinet was behind the door. The toilet rocked when you sat on it as it wasn't fixed properly to the ground, mould in the shower and on the ceiling, the tv was well past its electrical check according to the sticker on the side, the bed was like sleeping on bags of cement, there was a hair in my dinner and at breakfast the next morning for some peculiar reason I was put on a huge table with lots of people I didn't know... Didn't have the option to change tables.
I kicked up a fuss before I left and the manager sent a young assistant up to look at the list of complaints I had about the room.
When I got home I contacted their head office and got a large part of the room cost refunded back to the NHS..
Upon looking at the TA reviews I wasnt surprised to see lots of similar reviews to mine!

Just wanted to bump this to say I finally got a full refund today!

It took a lot and I ended up copying the CEO in before anything got done but it did manage to get a full refund.
