Silly cow. It's a kids bike, a carriage and a dog blanket. They were out as I was cleaning the boot of the car. IABU to tell her to feck off? We're in a cul de sac. She has nothing better to do than look out of her window. Clearly.

I had a huge problem with one of my neighbours a long long time ago and one afternoon my partner was at home whilst I was at work and he went into the back garden to shovel the dog muck and wash the patio down (we had 3 dogs at the time). The neighbour's son was there, learned over the fence and had a go at my partner who promptly picked up a bucket of cold water and chucked it at him! I never heard a peep out of them again after that 🤣

fairytwinkletastic · 20/05/2021 04:17

I'd be tempted to leave the pile of stuff and stick a massive dildo on top of it.😁

BinocularVision · 20/05/2021 04:22

@halfhope

DH has just suggested that you buy the biggest ugliest garden gnome you can find and place it there...
I was going to suggest a double row of them, preferably mooning.
smaragda · 20/05/2021 04:25

Check out frank the gargoyle on fb-its the only way to go!!!! Hahahah

Dragon5000 · 20/05/2021 07:42

Have you seen Frank the Christmas gargoyle on fb? This needs to happen here

longwayoff · 20/05/2021 08:00

Time to order the hot tub. That looks like just the right place to put it.

aspoonfulofyourownmedicine · 20/05/2021 08:40

Thanks @DreamTheMoors - it's me who's doing the house up not MakeMathsFun & I agree, we shouldn't have to justify ourselves to anyone.

Biscoffin · 20/05/2021 10:25

OP, I think you need to put the bike on a plinth, like a little garden statue. I’d also add glow sticks or fairy lights. Grin

majesticallyawkward · 20/05/2021 10:40

Absolutely check out frank the gargoyle! This is a perfect opportunity for some truly satisfying pettiness 😁 good old fashioned toilet planter or an ever escalating scene in the front.

My neighbours are all so lovely we have no drama. Almost had a bit when a family moved in opposite and let their dog crap on the grass verge but next door was all over it and stopped it in the first week. Not a cross word to be had.

MakeMathsFun · 20/05/2021 12:41

@@aspoonfulofyourownmedicine

Understandable. Sorry if I was a bit OTT.

Usernamerequired · 20/05/2021 12:50

If you are having a clear out you could put them out front on a table. A4 bit of paper with “Free to a good home” on it and advertise on a local page. That’d sort out her line of sight. She shouldn’t be nosing into your drive anyway, so cheeky to tell you what to do on your property

nopuppiesallowed · 20/05/2021 14:51

I've just made a life sized scarecrow you can borrow

Busybody neighbour asked me to move stuff off my drive as its in her line of sight
Joinedjustforthispost · 20/05/2021 15:16

I’d laugh and ok hyacinth! She’s nuts

MakeMathsFun · 20/05/2021 15:18

You could place the scarecrow in your window with binoculars (2 cardboard tubes glued together) looking at her garden. I think she would soon feel 'watched' herself.

loopylindi · 20/05/2021 15:44

we had a neighbour who told us to stop watering our lawn as the run-off made weeds grow on her CONCRETE drive. She also trimmed off hanging basket flowers that were protruding over 'her' side of the front

TruJay · 20/05/2021 16:27

You absolute disgrace @Bobbiebigbum Grin
That view is quite frankly appalling!

She’d hate me, I had my old couch in the garden for months. The council stopped doing rubbish collections that you could arrange for things you couldn’t transport to the tip yourself during lockdown so it just stayed in the drive looking sadder and sadder as the months went by! Now it’s in a skip on the drive that has also been there a fair while while we’re doing work on the house.

Tessabelle1 · 20/05/2021 17:39

You need a BIG fugly Gnome 😁

Lulemma · 22/05/2021 18:16

I live in a cul de sac, my ndn is the last house so right in the corner. He constantly throws anything and everything outside and just leaves them until they get removed. Currently there are broken steel bunkbeds, old mattresses, a fridge freezer and umpteen black bags mostly filled with bottles. Absolute nightmare! They are lovely people so I never comment on the mess, but it's an eyesore.

janj2301 · 22/05/2021 18:41

My council has a "report it" page on there you can report eyesore gardens. They aren't quick but they do send out letters and if it's not ckeared within a certain time after frame the council remove it and send you a bill.

Ingridla · 22/05/2021 18:46

Omg this is hilarious, what a bonkers batshit neighbour you have!

CakeWarrior · 22/05/2021 21:06

Please get this OP 😂

WingingItSince1973 · 22/05/2021 22:36

@CakeWarrior I would love this! We are dino mad here 😅

yogi1 · 23/05/2021 10:29

Yep need to see the carriage first, neighbour told my ex husband to move his camper van up the street a bit away from outside his house because it was spoiling her view as she wanted to see all of the street. I think he moved it a couple of inches. She then saw me in the local shop, quite a lot of customers and shouted at me ‘ You, you. Can you get your ex to move his van’. So I said why don’t you ask him . She is a impolite nightmare who can’t drive properly probably why she wants no vehicles in the street because at present she seems to think driving on the pavement is normal.

DebHagland · 24/05/2021 13:55

I would suggest having a garage/drive sale this Bank Holiday weekend, you can offload some junk and give her the pleasure of seeing all those interesting items you don't want anymore.
