Sharing facemask

Would you share your partners facemask? Obvs you generally have your own but if you forgot it and needed to pop into shops would you use it?

No.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 09/05/2021 15:52

Yes, whats the difference between borrowing his face mask and sharing his body fluids

Nancylovesthecock · 09/05/2021 15:52

Even in this covid centric world I was thinking like a clay facemask 😂

Well, I snog him so there would be no ill affects from it but still no.

Pinkpaisley · 09/05/2021 15:53

One of the clean ones? Sure. I prefer mine because they fit better, but his will do in a pinch.

A used mask? No. I don’t even reuse my own without washing.

LibrariesGiveUsPower45321 · 09/05/2021 15:53

No. They shouldn’t be used twice anyway tbh.

RickJames · 09/05/2021 15:53

Yes, in an emergency. It's not something I'd enjoy though. It seems a bit icky!

leiaskye · 09/05/2021 15:56

Yes, share a house, bed, bodily fluids, so no issue sharing a mask.

My daughter’s used mine before too.
Can’t see anything wrong with it, tbh.

I thought one of those sheet masks!
LubaLuca · 09/05/2021 15:58

Yes, unless he had a cold or something. He breathes directly into my face all night.

greenlynx · 09/05/2021 15:58

It depends. My DH is wfh and not seeing anyone basically apart from me and DD, visits shops but briefly, doesn’t eat out and follows all rules. So I would use his mask.
I wouldn’t advise my mum to share my dad’s face mask. They are both retired but dad is much more active, go a lot everywhere and don’t bother about rules. They also sleep in different rooms so have less closed contact generally.

Thefamilybusiness · 09/05/2021 15:59

Yes, not going to catch anything from his mask I wouldn't catch missing him.

Me too!!

I was trying to work out if it was some reusable thing or a tube of it or what 🤣

Covid mask. Yes, if necessary, not routinely. I've used partners toothbrushes too. Not something I'd do routinely but in a 'this or nothing' situation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let's face it, it's not the most intimate thing of each other's we out in our mouths!

CoRhona · 09/05/2021 16:10

I've been with him over 20 years and we test regularly so yes.

greeneyedlulu · 09/05/2021 16:11

Just to nip into a shop, yeah, why not?

VienneseWhirligig · 09/05/2021 16:14

I've shared a mask with my mum and DS before - they both have a few in their car and I am often disorganised. I wash them afterwards though before handing them back.

Mamamamasaurus · 09/05/2021 16:16

I used DH's mask in a pinch last week, it was huge on me (I made them and made his bigger to account for his face fur) but it did the job. It was clean and all I had on me. My kids have worn mine before too, I just tied a knot in the elastic so it fitted properly.

I share various bodily fluids with the man, why would I be even remotely bothered about using his face mask? Clean, obviously, not after he'd worn it then taken it off.

LadyDanburysCane · 09/05/2021 16:18

I would if necessary. There’s nothing I could catch from his mask that I wouldn’t already have caught sleeping with him!

BoomChicka · 09/05/2021 16:20

Yes, we chuck them in a basket in the kitchen and just grab them on the way to the shop. I can't wait for them to stop being compulsory!

shivawn · 09/05/2021 16:24

Yep, I totally would! Only with him though, no one else.

TattyDevine · 09/05/2021 16:25

Yep I'd use his mask, clean or otherwise, if I got caught short and needed to pop into a shop.

Which sort of highlights the problem of a mask mandate really. If people do it because they are ticking a box, not because they want to and buy into the idea, then they don't do it right.

Months and months of being told masks don't work then BAM suddenly they apparently do 🤨

shouldistop · 09/05/2021 16:27

Erm yes. We've made 2 babies together and share a bed. Dh had to wear my leopard print one into the local shop once as he'd forgotten his and I was feeding the baby in the car so couldn't nip in Grin

Luckyonetwo · 09/05/2021 16:28

Yes.

lljkk · 09/05/2021 16:29

yes, and probably with any friend.

LakeShoreD · 09/05/2021 16:31

I wouldn’t plan to do it but if I’d forgotten mine and it was one previously worn by him or nothing then I’d definitely wear his. We only use disposable ones though so chances are it would have only been worn the once!

Littleroundsponge · 09/05/2021 16:31

Yes, I have and would again.
