Is Gay kissing, On Emmerdale, before 7.30pm o.k. ?

It's just that Dh & I thought it was a bit 'full on', at that time, and were thankfull that ds was already in bed. Ds is 3.9 and normally goes to bed at around 7pm. But sometimes it is nearer 7.30 and he has seen glimpses of Emmerdale before.
The other night he was already in bed. And I know that gay scenes have been on other soaps in the past. Its just that I thought it was very explicit and I thought it was a bit too much for prime-time pre 7.30pm tv.
Or is that I should just make sure that any child is not exposed to tv at this time.
Did anyone else think it was a bit too much, or was it just me?

I'm baffled as to why someone would find and then decide to resurrect a 7 year old thread! Why?

I don't even understand why this is a thing. We've just always explained to the DCs that grown ups sometimes fall in love with each other like Mummy and Daddy, and whilst man/woman is the most common combination, any combinations is totally fine. Why would you not do that?

Thank goodness zac searched for a 7 year old thread, then bumped it to let us all know about the 'gay agenda'. We can all rest easy knowing that someone, who clearly has no agenda at all, is there to warn us

3.9yr is not too early for your dc to understand that some girls like girls and some girls like boys, and vise verse for men. Fgs by making it a big deal your are insinuating that's it's wrong but tolerated!
