Whenever someone says they/someone they know is stunning,all i ever want to ask is what do they look like.

Not because i doubt them, not at all, i just really want to know what does a stunning woman look like TO THEM.

For me it’s
Bone structure
Eye shape
Nose/lip shape

Also a certain brightness in the eyes etc. There is one person I know who looks normal but when they smile- it’s like angels appeared- I can’t explain but their goodness/sweetness is so blindingly obvious it almost stops you in your tracks. (I am not attracted to them btw just trying to explain that certain something that takes a person from normal to unforgettable)

@Happycat1212

All the people I’ve seen described as stunning never are to me, so I guess it’s down to the individual what is stunning and what isn’t
There's obviously a lot of agreement too though. There are some stunning women who are/were generally considered stunning in their prime. Monica Bellucci and Brigitte Bardot, for example and Samantha Janus.

Two very pretty women I can think of, but not necessarily stunning are Maggie Gyllenhall and the late Helen McCrory.

"There's no art / to find the mind's construction in the face."

I always assume the angelic-looking ones are utter bastards.

@DinaofCloud9

Michelle Pfeiffer and Scarlett Johannson. So charismatic and beautiful.

I think Helena Christenson has always been incredible looking too.

Oh yes, Michelle Pfeiffer - it's the cheekbones.
KatherineJaneway · 09/01/2022 11:57

Michelle Yeoh

Rachel Weisz is to me the most beautiful woman in the world. She is stunning. There are other women I think are pretty, or gorgeous, but for whatever reason her particular combination of looks are just stunning.

Gwenhwyfar · 09/01/2022 12:05

@FreekStar

To be stunning you need the whole package- beautiful and striking face, fabulous slim, strong and tall physique, confidence and elegant, great posture .
I disagree. Brigitte Bardot wasn't tall, but definitely stunning. I don't think strength has anything to do with it either really.
BusterGonad · 09/01/2022 12:08

Helena Christensen is my No1, I'd love to look like her. She's obviously sexy, a bit quirky and looks really approachable and friendly.

Gwenhwyfar · 09/01/2022 12:11

@Tayho

I think that as women we find brunettes more attractive but than men find blondes more attractive.
But women also find blondes more approachable according to studies.
Gwenhwyfar · 09/01/2022 12:12

@Tayho

As a woman, I find dark haired men attractive. I've never been attracted to fair haired men.
Tall, dark, handsome stranger is the stereotype, apparently because fair hair symbolises youth and people value youth more in women than men.
PlanktonsComputerWife · 09/01/2022 12:17

Nah, give me a blond god every time.

FirewomanSam · 09/01/2022 12:18

Sophia Vergara. And she’s unbelievably charismatic AND hilarious to boot.

It's difficult to say these days, especially with celebrities, because personally I think it's 'cheating' to have lots of altering procedures (as is the case with Bella Hadid for example). These women, to me anyway, aren't stunning, they are constructions modelled to a beauty ideal. There is a big difference between having a few anti-ageing tweaks and that of dramatically changing the features and structure of a face.

I would therefore put Christy Turlington, Kate Blanchett and Helena Christensen in the stunning category. Old school celebs before the days of ubiquitous procedures such as Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly, Marilyn, Úrsula Andress etc are/were certainly stunning.

Celebs such as Liz Hurley, Kate Beckinsale and Katie Price cannot really be put into the stunning league as they have had so many alterations.

Just my opinion.

Lanique · 09/01/2022 12:23

Also: Julia Roberts, Catherine Deneuve, Lauren Hutton, Twiggy, Kate Moss (when young)... stunning.

LadyCatStark · 09/01/2022 12:33

Jennifer Aniston back in the day and (not a woman but stunning in an OMG what a beautiful child kind of way) Princess Andre. I always think Ariana Grande is stunning but I think a lot of it is fake.

Hrpuffnstuff1 · 09/01/2022 12:45

Baltic women and surrounding areas are the epitomai of beauty.

Wisewordswouldhelp · 09/01/2022 13:49

Confident, good posture (stands tall!), dresses beautifully (but not necessarily fashionably), good teeth!

Wisewordswouldhelp · 09/01/2022 13:52

Ooh and slightly quirky looking! Rather than identikit.

WalkingOnTheCracks · 10/01/2022 13:36

All these women I find stunning. I don't think I have a 'type'.

It was fun looking for the pictures though.
