Whenever someone says they/someone they know is stunning, all i ever want to ask is what do they look like.

Not because i doubt them, not at all, i just really want to know what does a stunning woman look like TO THEM.

Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman

It's interesting how much it varies. I think princess Di was quite average looking, though of course very stylish and Kate Middleton is pretty but not stunning.

Stunning for me is Gigi Hadid, Angelina Jolie, young Sophia Loren.

Beetlewing · 08/05/2021 21:25

Gal Gadot. Even RBF she looks stunning

bubblebath62636 · 08/05/2021 21:26

I'd say Cameron Diaz when she was in the mask... Dp agrees!

Keepyourdistance000 · 08/05/2021 21:27

I've known two stunning women IRL and they were both recruitment agency managers. One was a former model and the other was a gorgeous blonde with a figure to die for.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 08/05/2021 21:27

This thread is really interesting.

I think the first poster summed it up for me.

Catherine zeta Jones in Zorro. Stunning

Also in the same vein is Vivian Leigh.

Sandra Bullock in practical magic.

Long dark hair, big eyes, good cheekbones.

I can't think of any blonde that I find stunning.

Alot of the names that have been mentioned I would describe as "interesting" rather than stunning - Angelina jolie, Julia Roberts, Madonna.

Terrysmyorange · 08/05/2021 21:41

Vivien Leigh
Elizabeth Taylor
Ava Gardner
Audrey Hepburn
Heidi Lamarr
Grace Kelly
Sophie Loren
Audrey Tautou

I can't see Sandra Bullock's attraction at all.
She looks like a man/transgender woman. I realise that the way I see her is not the way most other people see her but I really cannot see the attraction at all. I'd never ever say she was/is a beauty.

mustlovegin · 08/05/2021 22:49

Gisele Bündchen
Cindy Crawford

Thatisnotwhatisaid · 08/05/2021 22:57

Helena Bonham Carter and Vanessa Paradis. I prefer a quirky, interesting face and character.

GlitchStitch · 08/05/2021 23:00

Jennifer Lopez
Catherine Deneuve
Kate Walsh (who looks quite like a young Catherine Deneuve and it was actually mentioned in an episode of Greys)

Howmanysleepsnow · 08/05/2021 23:22

Angelina Joile
Catherine Zeta Jones
Gal Gadot
Honor Blackman

I think she is a natural beauty. I love her in the film with Melissa McCarthy who I also think is beautiful It just proves people see beauty differently.

I love her in films with Keenu Reeves too. He is my crush and she is my DH's.

LifeinPieces21 · 08/05/2021 23:25

Jennifer Lopez, she is beautiful.

I don't get Beyonce.

bluebluezoo · 09/05/2021 00:46

Shaunette Renee Wilson- Mina from the resident.

Also Miranda Rae Mayo from chicago fire.

Pinkyavocado · 09/05/2021 01:02

I think Emma Willis is stunning.

I also think personality has a lot to do with it. I used to work for a guy that was absolutely gorgeous but he was an arsehole. After a while I stopped seeing his looks as his personality was so ugly.

stopgap · 09/05/2021 01:08

Zoe Kravitz
Zendaya
Audrey Hepburn
Monica Belluci
Eva Green

Mermaidwaves · 09/05/2021 04:00

My best friend I would describe as stunning, massive bright blue eyes, petite with waist length hair. But it's not that, it's her smile and inner beauty that shines. It sounds like a cliche but she is a ray of sunshine, and that is what makes a woman stunning for me.

Pyewackect · 09/05/2021 04:21

Debbie Harry

I'm finding this thread interesting too!
Beauty is an 'aura', a smile, a kindness, confidence, poise, grace. I see beauty in a lot of people every day!

Some women (and men) have outstanding physical perfect looks and it is just a pure work of art to me! Breath-taking!
I think Amber Heard is a beauty btw.
Agree with so many apart from Madonna, Kate Moss, Angelina, Sandra Bullock. Jennifer Lopez is beautiful, but just way too bloody confident and puts me off her a little. Beyonce - work of art imo. Some names I haven't heard of and it has made me look them up. OMG! Gal Gadot - speechless, what a beauty! Always thought Greta Garbo was a stunner in her day!

Whythesadface · 09/05/2021 07:50

Clothing does not equate to beauty.
Make up can enhance beauty but is not a guarantee of looking stunning.
True beauty seems to be part of the soul.

Anyonebut · 09/05/2021 07:59

Erykah Badu

OnlyheretovoteonAIBU · 09/05/2021 08:26

The diversity of answers on here shows how truly subjective beauty is. Confused

A lot of women say they have ‘stunning’ friends but again that’s probably more because you know and love them.

Dancingsmile · 09/05/2021 08:55

This is really interesting.
I always thought Steph McGowen had a aura about her. Not stunning but her confidence gave her something, a spark , I don't know.
Saw her on have I got news for you, lots of botox and makeup which is fine and I'm not criticising what she's done but to me she lost the sparkle, the attractiveness. I think because to me, she was highlighting the wrong things that make her look attractive and gave her an edge in my eyes.
For me being natural and having confidence in who you are makes someone shine.
